From reports Oscar is more of the Le cras type forward but a tad taller. Waterman and Allen are more KP bugger forwards.

How do you know what was offered or requested? Do you seriously think Yeo was overs at 28?

28 and 31 are do similar - many on this board went ape that We supposedly bent over to Brisbane. Credit should be given on the 2013 draft and trade.

I'm not making assertions about what was offered or requested. In hindsight we got a good deal out of it obviously. But it doesn't change the fact that we were too generous from a position of strength and should have offered 31 instead. Given what Port did to us the year before (when they were in a position of strength) it was frustrating. So I maintain it wasn't deft trading.

Sure kids can put on weight, muscle but it sounds like he's a different type of forward than Waterman and other other Allan. Which is a good thing IMO.

Trade will be Gaff and pick 13 for picks 7 and 8 .
Which I would still be excited about.

True he doesn't seem to have the reach of Waterman, just don't think he's the kind of player we need at the likely position he's going to be picked.

Just to be clear, this perception that WC draft perma-injured players is based solely on Dan Venables right? I guess if you were being picky you could throw in Damien Cavka taking at a whopping pick 66 three years ago.

I swear one year ago all we were hearing was how we only draft conservatively and pick players with limited upside.

Yeh, some mocks have him a mid-teen pick and then others have him top 5. Can't see him lasting to our pick based off today, he looked very good in the midfield and up forward.

One of those rangy tall, athletic flanker types. Think he had a 39 possession game in the TAC this year and a 5g/28p game at some point which has seen his stocks soar.

If he puts it together as a midfielder he could be a serious player.

He still had a major injury before we drafted him and he was pick 20, not like he was pick 55 or something.
