So would i, and that's why Gibbs isn't worth 2 firsts, because if you're relying on the likes of him to win you a flag your window isn't open, he wouldn't have made one iota of difference today, and you know it.
Imagine giving two firsts for a bloke who couldn't hit the side of a barn if it was one out in the forward 50

Would be your best player, no ifs, no buts.
Maybe so, but you see, I like to look at the team rather then a single player. I believe my team beat your team this year during your 125th did they not? Carlton have also beat your mob on ur 25th, 50th, 75th, 100th and 125th have they not? Carlton has more premierships then collingwood have they not?
Carlton are clearly a better club then collingwood, how sad that must be for a collingwood fan such as yourself, always one step behind carlton.

Now if you can stop derailing this thread, we can get back on topic, thank you.

And we beat Geelong-Richmond and Sydney, and drew with Adelaide, what was you point again?

Adelaide's problem wasnt their midfield today, They had enough quality ball but their structure and personal were wrong

Their foward line didnt fire a shot Jenkins,Lynch,Betts, walker & Cameron were all extremely quite and didnt fire a shot but they did have ample supply .

Backline was way too big and not mobile enough to get the ball moving out,Smith and Gov would have made a massive difference but still too big and needed more mobile backs.

Richmond has done exactly the same thing to all 3 finalist we faced and all were top 4 teams, Tiger players are electric quick with massive tanks and run over the teams in the 3rd & 4th quaters - David King went on about it and is absolutely correct

Game will change again and 2018 will see more runners that can run all day - Gibbs wouldnt have changed the result

Have you seen Gibbs play Richmond in a final? I have.

Richmond won out of the middle then pinned the crows in their third of the field. The tigers cut the supply to the crows forwards.

Crows were exposed for having no elite ball user in the team who could unlock richmonds press.

Gibbs would have been invaluable

There you go. Gibbs would have done nothing to address the - 30 in contested ball, so final evidence that he wouldn't have been the piece that would have gotten the Crows a flag.

They were the best side in the competition without him, and they shat the bed in the Grand Final without him. He would have changed nothing.

At least we finally know.

Carlton have played in finals? Wow, Gibbs must be in his 40s to have been playing way back when Carlton were good.

27 possies. 21 kicks.
12 clearances.
5 tackles.

Was instrumental in turning a 32 point deficit into a 20 point victory. And you can ask any tigers fan, if theres one bloke who always turns up to play them, its Gibbs.

What if, hey?

We will never know unfortunately, too many variables.

Forget about 2017, its done, nothing can change it.

I still think your premiership window is open for atleast the next year or two, so just look forward to that mate.

Yeah, we already won our elimination finals.

Cute you guys mentioning forgotten elimination finals like they mean anything.

Gibbs can't even get you to finals. He would have meant nothing to the result yesterday.

Mitchell to Hawthorn - better player, MUCH younger, knows how to win, pick 14.

Gibbs for 16 seems a fantastic deal for Carlton.

He knows how to play Richmond at the MCG. Something your boys cant seem to figure out

False. Second best side in the competition.

Didn't you lose by five goals to Richmond this year, BEFORE they really started playing well?

Gibbs getting a kick against a shitter Richmond side way back in the past is meaningless.

False. Second best side in the competition.
Best side the entire year.

Shat the bed in the final game of the year.

Richmond deserved premiers.

The trade will get done this year. Carlton need the first round picks to give GWS.

Then we can all just get on with our lives.
