Trade Radio has served my appetite for footy news well today. Almost time to switch to rowey and bicks for some delightful schadenfreude.
First thing they will say ... bloody Port got Rockliff .. what were the Crows doing to try and get him :D

How do people rate obrien? I've seen very little. Getting another tall in would be a positive , but these 2nd tall types that never look like breaking out almost always go nowhere as players.

In any case it sounds like port will not let impey walk for unders. I've pointed out to people that despite being this boards whipping boy at times he is obviously highly rated within the club.

If he requests hawthorn their pick 32 is the least we could get imo but I would not like that outcome in this draft. I would be asking for hawks 2018 2nd and wouldnt budge for less.

It's a weak year for academy selections which makes it incredibly unlikely

O'Brien for our pick 29 would be a great get - has a lot of talent and can kick. Can also ruck if needed.

I for one am not over the moon getting Rockliff. He's a fantasy pig, but doesn't do much damage with his touches. His inclusion delays the development of SPP & Atley, and what do we do with Boak? A half-forward he isn't, and with Rockliff, Trav will see less midfield time.

Yeah, let's believe the scummy player agent who negotiated such a great deal for his client and a shit deal for us.

The guy fleeced us hardcore - he's going to paint his client in the best possible light.

Sorry Janus but I normally love reading your posts for a bit of a different perspective, even if I don't agree with it. But Lobbe ****ing loves Port Adelaide and works his arse off week in week out, despite the fact that him getting picked is slim. In talks with other Port players he's consistently been known as the hardest, or one of the hardest working players within the club at training time and time again. Its fine to attack a players ability to play the game in a place like this, but I've observed you've attacked his character a bit in the past. You're welcome to do it, but I think its more indicative of your attitude than him. He isn't a deceitful guy and loves the club and is constantly trying to prove he's worth the pay packet on and off the field.
I want to see him at another club and I want to see him succeed - he doesn't have a spot here anymore. But I don't think he should be shat on on the way out.

Why on earth would Rockliffs inclusion stunt the development of SPP, who will be playing alongside Rockliff in the AFL? Atley is debatable, as he's not even genuinely pushing for inclusion at the moment.

Rockliff averages around 26 possessions a game, half of them contested. He also lays a whopping average of over 9 tackles a game with over 6 clearances a game to top it off.

Spud/Undamaging/Delist.

Carn, he's one of the premier clearance mids in the game.

What's his pressure acts like? 1%ers? 0/10 spud delist.

Jake Lever's manager is now the list manager at Collingwood.

Buckley: "So who do you think we should go after in the trade period Ned?"

Ned: "Funny you should ask....."

To be fair though he was attacking Lobbe's agent, and I think he's right insofar as Doughty doesn't owe us anything and there's no reason to believe his version of events? Definitely all the best to Lobbe though :rainbow:

Bickley - "Its not like Port don't lose players too. They're about to lose Jackson Trengove..."

Yeah Bicks, difference is he wanted to take a pay cut so he could stay. Keep clutching at those straws.
Anytime someone questions why they cannot keep players and we can he mentions players we are happy to see go/let go.

Helps finishing higher, we couldn't give anyone away last year, this year, they could all be gone...

I cannot disagree with you enough.
