With Adam, I simply say, if we went to the draft and had the two picks and we got one like Treloar I'd be ecstatic. So it was worth it for me.

To my recollection never once has a club matched a restricted free agency offer. Money won't be the main reason for Lynch returning to Melbourne, because GC could probably offer double $1.2million with Ablett leaving and the state of their list. Nobody is going to stop someone from wanting to return home. Look at what happened with Cam McCarthy.

We've had heaps high paid contracted stars leaving the club in recent years (e.g. Swan, Cloke). We should spend money when we have it. Lynch is a superstar. Yes $1.2million is a slightly inflated price when you compare it someone like a Dustin Martin or Dangerfield. But its all about demand-supply. Tbh idk if we'll even get him, every Victorian club will be vying for his signature.

What they neglected to do is ask the player if he wanted to go to Richmond.
