Hard to go past Martin's 2017:
Brownlow
Norm Smith
Premiership
AFL MVP

Didnt deserve the Norm Smith and the AFL MVP is a pretend award, but certainly more worthy than Dangerfield for the Brownlow. Media hype gifted Dangerfield a bunch of undeserved votes, while Martin had to build up his hype as the year progressed.

Been waiting all season for this thread to be made for the first time ever.

Dangerfield both 2016 & 2017

Even if Martin tried kicking with one eye open like you he would still have better depth perception than Danger

Lol since you're bringing that up has Martin even kicked 5 goals in a game before? He's the most overrated player since Josh Kelly.

Martin isn't even remotely capable of doing what Danger can do. Danger is a freak!

scratches head.
Wasn't Kelly drafted after Martin...and had his breakout season the same year Martin dominated the comp?
Makes it rather impressive Martin could bend time too....

As for the topic - Danger was more consistently dominant over 4 quarters during 2016
But Martin was blowing the roof off in games with short bursts.

I say Danger. but its not by a lot.

others are wrong. Danger became a goal kicking machine in 2017. If it wasnt for playing with broken ribs for a month and that dubious suspension against the blues then he would of easily made it to 40 votes producing the greatst season of all time.

But he didn’t did he? It’s not “who could/would have been better” it’s
“who was better”

So the players, coaches and umpires all got it wrong did they? Righto

Both were great in their respective seasons. Martin seemed more consistent across games, while Danger seemed more consistent within a game. I don't factor in the GF awards as you don't win a premiership medal alone, and Danger didn't get a chance at a Norm Smith.
