Lets talk about something Perth does right

Continental rolls

3-The Works-Re Store
4-Continental Roll-The Dutch Butcher
5-The Works-Balcatta fresh

Di Chiera butchers on Fitzgerald street. They closed down for a refurbishment and are supposed to open again soon. They do the best continental rolls ever - make their own rolls and absolutely load them up. They also do a pretty good homemade sausage roll.

Does anyone know what happened to The Clink in Freo? Was it finally shut down or bought out and rebranded?

Called "Hugo's" now apparently

Brown jelly fish in the Swan River.

Understated and fashionable, and they do not kill like those Queensland **** suckers.

Did anyone ever make a conscious decision to go The Clink?

I'm 99% sure every patron just ended up there somehow.

Once because a girl I went to school with worked behind the bar there.

I know people who have ended up at the other clink for a few hours after a drunken night out.

Glorious day. 27 degrees, blue sky, sun shining.

37% humidity though, most of which is residual Freo tears.
It's a lot muggier in the Freo/Cockburn area than 38% that's for sure

Well this wouldn't have happened if Julie Bishop was still my local member :shoutyoldman:

Federal MP for Perth Tim Hammond reveals shock resignation

Up-and-coming Labor MP Tim Hammond said he will quit politics, citing personal reasons for his shock resignation.

The first-term federal member for Perth told 6PR's Gareth Parker on Wednesday the job put enormous pressure on his young family which meant he couldn't be "the dad he wanted to be".

How do people not ******* realise this before they run for office? If you're a Federal member, guess what? There'll be quite a bit of travel to the other side of the country involved plus long and odd hours. Shocked to be sitting here!
A lot of people dont factor in this sort of stuff for high end jobs in general. Think its all smiles and sunshine.

Reality can always be different to expectation. Given many people make it work, maybe he assumed the travel would be something he could handle. Until he couldn't. I'm OK with it, though it would be nice if he could wait the extra year and save the taxpayers money.

FIFO is rife with that, but they get used to the money and the better life if provides for their families so they feel trapped to keep going.

It's one of the reasons there is a big attempted suicide rate in that sector unfortunately.

The taxpayer? Hahahahahah **** the taxpayer mate. These are politicians we're talking about.

Yeah I've spoken with a psycholgist about the topic before. More than half of their clientele were FIFO. It explains why so many of them are over the top about their earnings. Trying to put on a cover pretending everything is fantastic.

Yeah it's sad that they do have to put up that charade.

They do try and encourage people to seek help and encourage people on site to ask how your work mates are going, but it's still that old stigma of it not being manly to look vulnerable so too many suffer in silence.
