Brayshaw has gone past him and Petraccas short bursts even when out of form are still better than what Tyson brings. With Viney back this week I actually think he'll be dropped. Would happily ship him off for a late 2nd.
Where the **** do I sign?

Also, Tyson is very highly rated at Melbourne (at least he was 5 months ago). Doubt he gets dropped or traded

I said last year Tyson for Zaharakis would benefit both sides in a straight swap but doubt either club would do it.
Melbourne wouldn't. Hate players that don't run both ways.

Would take him for sure would be our best mid along side Merret and Smith also fits the age profile of our list at 24

Not really keen to trade away picks for this year yet given we're approaching a good draft, we're really not that close to winning a flag and we have a good number and variety of young players coming through at the moment. Could all change by end of season though.

In hindsight we should went hard for Zak Jones last year, hard on the inside but also has reasonable leg speed as well.

We really need to trade the likes of Zaka out to balance our midfield up this year.

Trading Hooker, Hurley, Heppell etc. would be a disgrace after all the club has put them through.
On the flipside, at least with Hurley and Hooker, it could be "you're unlikely to see a flag here. These teams will probably compete in the next few years, why don't you go there and have a chance"? A team like Geelong or Port for Hurley, Richmond or Sydney for Hooker.

I wonder if we'll look into Clay Smith again. Dodoro's long lost lost love child, and has already attempted to allure him across twice. I'd pass personally but I doubt he'd cost anything, and knowing our club, that might be enough.

I don't think we can trade hooker or Hurley given the size of contract they are in.
I also don't think it's fair on them given what the club put them through and also the loyalty they've shown the club.
As I posted on another thread dodoro has had a good last two draft periods. I hope we go best available mids with our round one and two picks this year.

Small, slow, poorly skilled and injury prone. Has never really been able to become a midfielder either (may be due to being constantly injured) and I don't know how he'd get a game ahead of Fantasia, Walla, Laverde and Begley when fit. Would even be line ball with Green. All that being said, his 2016 finals were excellent and he's a natural footballer.

If he's a DFA, yep, no problem, slot him into Jacko Merret's spot. Otherwise I'd stay away.

Would only trade them if they went out and asked for one but I can’t see that happening.

Clay Smith would be absolutely worth a punt if the cost was nil. The issue is the dogs love him, we’d already have him otherwise.

Cause putting them on over inflated contracts was terrible?

Football is a business. As much as we hate to admit it at times

I mean, you shouldn't hate to admit it, because that exactly what it is. But the trading landscape is so vastly different to any other sport around the world, we just won't see that kind of player movement.

I’m a gun wrap for Smith, would be good to have 2 Smiths in the team known for their tackling and pressure :p

Dahlhouse at his best is very similar to Dev Smith.

Are we any chance on Setterfield this window? I'd go pretty hard at him.
Potentially, but I'd prefer to chase somebody established to help out instead given the price Setterfield would still command. I'd expect if there's a chance of him leaving we will be enquiring.
