Offer him 5 years at $900,000 & the chance to play with bro. Sorted.
Reporters guess, don’t they ?Did anyone watch On the Couch this week?
Tom Browne reported West Coast have offered Jeremy McGovern 4 years at 800k per season. However, McGoverns management is after 6 years at 1.1million per season.
I can't see us being players in the J.McGovern sweepstakes.

Probably still feels guilty about ending his career for him in the '08 FinalSammy is taking this love of Robert Harvey a bit far now.

Wowser 3.2 vs 6.6....
No chance in the world McGovern’s agent is requesting this from the Eagles unless he has an offer on the table from another club.
Carlton have millions spare in their cap likewise Norf and St Kilda.
Maybe Mitch and Jeremy may both end up
at the Blues!!
I agree with all your points lickmerocks.
Carlton have the salary cap, the need to bring in A-grade talent no matter the cost, and will be far more willing/able to trade for Mitch McGovern at a price Adelaide will be demanding.
That's all contingent on players actually wanting to play for Carlton - who are absolute rubbish this year and don't look to have the young cattle that other sides do.
Every trade is contingent on a player wanting to play for a club.
Some players may move for greater opportunity or a better chance to contend. Others may move because financially it makes sense.
In regards to Jeremy McGovern, it's easy to infer which may be in play here...
Sure you can infer - but I am sure if there was a slightly less financially lucrative deal on the table with a club that hasn't been a basket case for 25 years then he would probably take the slight haircut to move to a contending club. Clubs like Carlton have barely made a dent in the free agency market - and there's a good reason for it.
Yeah he's just an intercept defender

I don't think Hawthorn are looking to play 1 million over six years (slightly less) for a 26 year old that plays his best footy as an intercept defender.
Sides that are desperate to make a 'dent' in free agency will gladly offer overs. Contending sides generally would struggle to fit 1.1 million into their salary. And those that could, run the risk of upsetting the apple cart.
Don’t rule us out. Media saying we’ve gone quiet. That’s coz we don’t leak.Yeah De Goey to stay at the Pies & Lynch to the Tigers would be my guess.

So, are tigers looking to trade out Rance or Cotchin or Dusty or Edwards or Jack Roo ?? How about that Prestia bloke sitting on the sidelines since he’s arrived at 700 clicks per season? Are they retiring one or two of those players?
Can’t see how tigers or pies fit Lynch in . Unless they lose some really high end talent.
