I would take him but I wouldn't give much up for him, he has never been a regular 1st 22 player with them.https://www.triplem.com.au/shows/th...mail-linking-cam-ellis-yolmen-to-another-club
Hope the link works. Jarmen linking CEY with us, best mates with Charlie.
Agree....no thanks....too slowDud. 25 year old that’s played 26 games. He’s the C grader that we need to avoid.
Might be worth a rookie list spot if we don’t get anybody else.
If Cam came to us for next to nothing I would definitely be interested. Like you say cotter would instantly be our best clearance player. Has been hampered by injury but when fit a better player than Wallis imoI’d take him. He’d be best 22 here at the moment and he’d instantly be our best centre clearance player.

Who would be worth more Ellis-Yolmen or Sam Mayes? Straight swap?

He’s had over 20 touches in a game 6 times. Wallis averages over 20 disposals a game over his 119 game career.
Wallis is 3 months older

I'm not against trying to sign Wallis as a free agent. But not on crazy money. He's a handy player, but nothing more. The Bulldogs are the worst side in the competition over the last month - Averaging 52 points for and 105 against. Wallis is part of that midfield rotation that is getting destroyed. I think a few on here are overestimating his ability
Lloyd is an upgrade on Rich in my eyes.Yeah well Wallis would have to be a free agent although I'd give our second round pick for him. Definitely our second pick next year.
Lloyd would be nice but I don't see the need for another small back. Unless we traded Rich or started playing him in the middle.
He doesn’t have to be great he just needs to provide support for Beams and Zorko. Then in a couple of years when Berry, Clug, Rayner, etc. step up he’ll support them and Beams and Zorko can move forward.
Of course He’s not worth ‘crazy’ money
And his disposal is crap.
I rate Nic Newman. Would be a good get and relatively cheap.Having another look at the OOC and FA list today with an eye to adding some midfield grunt, small forward with pressure and goal kicking ability, back half run and carry which are the areas I see us as lacking in.
Cam Ellis-Yolmen, Josh Thomas(RFA), Jay Kennedy-Harris, Jake Neade, Anthony Miles, Connor Menadue, Jayden Short, Shai Bolton, Jake Lloyd, Nic Newman, Mitch Wallis(RFA), Tom Liberatore(RFA), Lin Jong.
Lloyd is an upgrade on Rich in my eyes.
Riewoldt resigned yesterday for a further 2 years. It was pretty ridiculous to suggest he was even gettable, lives and breathes Richmond. If Jack Riewoldt hasn't signed you have to ask.
Promise him the goalsquare. 2 or 3 years on good money.
Would kick 55-100 each year.
You're pretty hard on brutus there Dave, it's nowhere near the most ridiculous suggestion I've read on BF, some would say I've made more ridiculous suggestionsRiewoldt resigned yesterday for a further 2 years. It was pretty ridiculous to suggest he was even gettable, lives and breathes Richmond.
. I certainly didn't think Luke Hodge would come to us when first suggested.I have come around to this thinking. I was against Wallis as not a fan but he is a free agent and if not crazy money can see logic given our midfield void. I also understand we have had a great run with injuries this year compared to most sides which might not repeat next year. Still hoping our midfield won't need him in a couple of years time.I'm not against trying to sign Wallis as a free agent. But not on crazy money. He's a handy player, but nothing more.
