If you ever needed further proof Judd is a complete dipstick, he said that GC should happily send Lynch on his way because they drafted him 8 years ago and have failed to provide an environment where he could excel.

Judd is on the Carlton board in charge of Football and List Management and he is having a crack at another club for their player development - bizzare.

he should give us Cripps then

I still think what Jonas did to Gaff a couple of years ago was a lot worse than what occurred on the weekend. It was a deliberate elbow to the back of the head which he lined up from 20 meters away. Yesterday Gaff tried to hit a bloke in the chest, missed, and flushed him in the jaw. I don't remember any calls for Jonas to be investigated by Adelaide police after that particular event ??
I don't remember the Jonas one but obviously there is a lot of physically violent contact that falls within the parameters of a 'football collision' even when it clearly breaks the rules. An off-the-ball punch in the face seems to me to be outside those parameters. It's far beyond the sort of physical contact that a player ought to expect - like, for instance, something like strangling would be. Or maybe eye-gouging, eh Juddy? The fact that punching is still quasi-condoned seems to me to be a vestige of bygone days, like caning children or other types of violence that were once seen as acceptable.

Soooo, apparently according to our learned friends across the way, the goal reviewer is a massive crows fan and that is why it was given a goal. But also it's true because Crows supporters said so.

Okaaaaaaay.

I have one thing to say to that.

Is Elspeth moonlighting as part of her match day stuff?

I now recant all my criticism of him for his time at West coast and his lacking an opinion over the tippett scandal

We should show compassion for the intellectually handicapped

Seriously this latest effort Is as bad as trump and Hillary trading insults

Calling it now.

IF Port are stuck on 13 wins after their last game

Will Kenny and Kano cry about the AFL scheduling their game on the Friday night when a team sitting ninth goes past them on Saturday or Sunday knowing exactly what score they need to sneak through on percentage and knock Port out.

Haha that would be gold.

Megahead Maclure reckons Carlton have put a 5 year deal to Dan Hannebery.

Hes gonna stay at Sydney

Apart from McClure always being wrong about everything, it would be insane to give Hannebery a 5 year contract. He is basically cooked.

o_Oo_O
What about some of the Port Power supporters saying it didn't hit the post but pass the left behind post so it was a "behind".....they were bloody watching the replay in reverse, the ball was moving from left to right......
They play their music backwards too.

Nothing wrong with that!o_O

Just quietly

Although not getting the results at the moment. I fancy geelong in the finals (if they make it)

They finnish hard against the good sides.

We've had everything but the kitchen sink (maybe at that camp they did) throw at us the last three years. What I see from them impresses me.

Go watch the Jonas hit on Gaff and see if your opinion changes. It's on YouTube. Sure you can't go round punching blokes and there has been a lot of media around the 1 punch law. But elbowing a bloke in the head is just as bad for mine. Then factor in intent and comparing those 2 incidents against each other, the Jonas hit is worse. He lines him up from 20 meters away and had one focus. With the media blow up following the Gaff hit on Brayshaw, you can be sure Gaff gets more than 6 weeks, which is what Jonas got.

Lol, Sammy Mac is the clueless kiss of death.

Hasn't he worked out yet that Carlton are a disaster zone & no well paid player at a successful club is going to play for his basketcase of a club.

If I were Hannebery and Carlton offered me 5 years on huge coin I'd take it. He's won a flag and looks absolutely ****ed on the field at the moment.

I'm not talking about whether it's worse or or more dangerous. I'm talking about whether it's actionable as an assault. Obviously, there are all sorts of thuggish acts in footy and plenty of really dangerous acts that fall entirely within the rules of the game. You can knee a player in the back of the head in a perfectly legal marking contest which could kill them.

I've gone and looked at Jonas' hit as you suggest and, yes, it's foul and could have had really dire consequences. But it's kinda in the play and I'm not sure it's so far outside the kind of clashes that happen in many contests for the ball. An off-the-ball punch to the head doesn't have any resemblance to a footy action at all so it seems to me to be more actionable as assault.

Interested to hear on the radio just now that Western Australia police are looking into the Gaff incident as a potential assault. I've always thought Barry Hall should have been charged for the Staker punch - something so unequivocally outside the rules of the game and so dangerously violent shouldn't be condoned as somehow being a part of the physical contest.

Someone will have a quick glance at it, sure, but ultimately isn't it up to Brayshaw whether he wants to lay charges or not.

Would be a massive call if he chose to, but would be understandable if he is happy for the AFL to dish out the punishment. Ultimately a 8-10 game ban from the AFL tomorrow night is probably going to be harsher than a fine and good behaviour bond Gaff will probably get in 2 years time when his case reaches court.

So by that logic Carlton should've given us Gibbs in 2016 for pick 119 (or something along those lines) because they failed to provide an environment where he could excel.

I doubt Brayshaw will make a complaint but the police don't need him to do that to lay charges if they think they can prove a crime has been committed. I imagine they won't but it does open up an interesting conversation about where the line is between what is unacceptable on a footy field and what is unacceptable in society.

If any club has offered Hannebery a 5 year deal they may as well fold now. Of the 900 odd AFL listed players he is the very last player you would offer a deal like that to !!
Was gonna say the same. His body is cooked atm and it's questionable if he'll get back to the player he once was.
