Ken Hinkley will never be a top 4 coach

He can **** right off. Pay the bloke out, couldn't care what he has to say anymore, don't care what he does this year. We made a horribly mistake re-signing him. Thanks for the game, Port I thoroughly enjoyed being proved right once again.

This sport is littered with stories of teams battling against adversity to win when everything seems lost, our Club was built upon that very fabric.

We lost because of absolutely horrendous coaching and a team consisting of senior players who can't cope with any sort of expectation or pressure. This environment has been built upon Hinkleys watch and if anything it's only getting worse as nobody ever pays the price - apart from some guys on the arse end of our list.

Long term reader of this board - always have enjoyed it, but after tonight I felt I had to join because this is not going to end well and i needed to express my view. The above post is exactly how I have felt for some time. Hinkley 'owns' this list - a list who leaders continue to let us down in crucial moments, a list which cannot not hit a target 1m away by hand and 15m by foot. A list which continues to have 'gold passes'.

The free was against Johnson for shepherding too hard.

We couldn't even get our defensive structures right with just about everyone pushed back for the last centre bounce. McGovern took an uncontested mark. There should have been Port players in that hole, or at least standing in front of McGovern not behind him. Another example of dumb football

We went defensive after qtr time and scored 20 odd points in three quarters. So over this bullshit football.

This is bullshit. The players did an awesome job in the last quarter to hold on as long as they did without Dixon or Ryder helping them win the ball, and arguably our best ball user oh the night in Houston.

It was literally 19vs25 and we lost after the siren after Westhoff was pushed in the back as he was about to win the centre clearance from the final bounce.

Ebery had a filthy last minute. Overruns the ball in the pocket which would have sealed the game, instead they run it down and goal. Then he loses Mcgovern for the mark at the end.

It’s not the squads. Fagan (the good one), has Brisbane attacking, not trying to strangle the opposition into a 1-0 win. Swap coaches and Brisbane would be bottom and we’d be top 4.

We all knew how the script would play out. Even before the injuries, they had all the momentum, as we'd decided that five goals in Q1 was all we were going to need. We had all the usual one-sided umpiring and opposition fast movement we've had in all of our losses, and we just seem powerless to stop it.

So many chances to ice the win, all squandered. Stubborn reluctance to play a backup ruck. The best defence in the competition. So many platitudes.

We have a premiership winning list and can't even make the top eight. Something's wrong somewhere

Whoever says that we should have won that after losing Ryder, Dixon and Houston in the space of five minutes is utterly clueless.

Have no interest in the presser. I imagine it was credit to the opposition and how it was going to be tough being down to one rotation. Isn't that what coaches are paid to fix? Presumably training drills include such scenarios?
