Well the rumour on the Swans board at least is that the Swans didn't make a sizable offer, and that it was Moore that has sought the Swans out because he is desperate to move to Sydney, not the club, but the city.

I would take that as a pretty spot on from what I have heard. Swans didnt come as hard at him as would have hoped. GWS wont take him as dont have the $$$. Maybe if Shiel left but even then I dont think they would as probably more likely to use to retain others coming out next year (eg Kelly)

Why do you think Moore wants to move to Sydney? Think about it...

Firstly, my post went straight over your head.

Secondly, i wasn't aware that gay people are only comfortable living in Sydney which is what you were insinuating.

I agree with your sentiments. There is a significant difference between referring to a reason someone might make a decision (AFL players aren't recognised in the streets in Sydney like they are in Melbourne), and making juvenile jokes about people's sexuality. We can discuss is respectfully.

If sexuality is the thing Melbourne's a town to take that news well and truly in its stride. That said, if it is true, he might not want the heat and circus that may come with it.

Nope that wont happen
If Moore really wants to leave (not sure that's even true) but if so why not package him up and try to prise Carlton and pick 1?

Otherwise let's keep him.

I don't get a chance to watch VFL, but have been told that he's still a fair way off. Hopefully next year, Lynch and perhaps a recruit can become the cover and release McLarty to defence - if that's his best role, like so many on here believe.

Looks like we’ll need another run & carry player next year. Jayden Short still available?
Wouldn't think we need too, we have Crisp, Murphy will develop into that role. I'd look at turning Phillips into that player in the off season.

In hindsight i think recruiting staff made a bit of a minor blunder recruiting Murray over Adam Saad.

Saad was proven quality and would have slotted in our 22, also due to lack of a lock down small defender he’d get a game for us right now aswell, even with a healthy list.

Im still really shocked how a simple trade of Murray for one of our 3rd rounders couldnt be done, if Sydney demanded our 2nd, why couldnt we just pass and wait until the next year?

Couple of pages of reading just to see a few homophobic comments and "jokes", lovely

Agree with the comment a bit earlier, Darcy we need a good news story...sign up!

Hoping Lynch does choose us.
Draft Kelly and Quaynor fixes defence on the long term.
In the Short to Long term id look at:
Trading for May and Short and recruiting Scott Thompson.

Achieve all that and our defence is rock solid.

So, assuming that a couple of rumours are true, if Moore goes to Sydney and Lloyd, Newman and the old guy whose name escapes me go to GC...
If we were to give GC our first for next year, does that get us anywhere near Pick 2?
