1) Neale is close to a lot of the playing group, very close to Andy Brayshaw, who he has lived with him for 12 months
2) Brayshaw has consistently talked about how great Lyon has been to him and how great the club is, and how much support he has received
3) Neale said he loves the club only this week, talked about how the club isn't far away, focusing on the preseason, etc. and spoke to Clint Thomas only on the weekend about focusing on improving leadership at Freo next season
4) Sam Mclure reports that Brisbane are chasing Neale and have put pick 4 on the table, and that Neale camp is "open to the idea".

Not sure how people can draw the conclusions that they are drawing. Not saying Neale isn't tempted by the Brisbane offer but there is nothing to suggest he hates a part of the club, like the situation with Mitch McGovern.

Sam McClure was a good player for Carlton.He is an industry heavyweight. He can still be seen wearing Pringle jumpers too which shouldn't be underestimated.

I can't see our football being worth watching for a decade and there'll be only idiots at games after next year.

Actually by this point B.Hill had done exactly what Neale had done about these rumours...

Absolutely nothing.

Only when he was asked directly about it in press conference at least a week later did he actually say either way. Whether the press conference was planned or he asked the club to do it that day only really those inside the club know.

Thing was Brad Hill had almost nothing to gain. He was already signed until 2021. The more the rumours circle about Neale the higher his price goes (well it wouldn’t hurt anyway).

Still reckon it’s just a way to get more money. Only becomes more if he requests a trade as there’s no way the club even thinks about trading him otherwise. I’m not the biggest Lachie Neale fan on this board either but the price the club would be willing to move him on at their own will would be of ridiculous proportions - probably the highest value any Fremantle player has ever got us.
