Lmao at NZ playing India. Looks like it's about 35 degrees out there. The kiwis are bowling first lol. You can literally see their pale bowlers just melting right now and India are laughing their ass off. This has to be their best away season against top grade opponents?? Given that they played much much better than their SA and ENG results suggested?

and even though it was the wrong thread, you still spoke much too soon

Windies win the toss and elect to bowl on what looks a fairly green wicket with moisture underneath the surface. Root has had a great run of luck with tosses but he's now experiencing the other end of the luck now.

Are those grey hairs on Joe's beard btw? Always imagined Root as someone who never gets old.

Denly's a very lucky man. Also Burns' technique can **** off, looks like a goose.

Yeah that was terrible umpiring.

Denly's family might not mind though. Getting a duck on debut might not have been the best start to his test career after making debut at 32 years.

I don't think Denly would even get a game for Australia at the moment, shows how big the holes are in England's top order right now.

Australia need to relentlessly target the pads of Bairstow and Root in the Ashes. Both are vulnerable to the incoming delivery and have been getting out to that delivery quite frequently for the past year or so.

I love Shannon "the wrecking ball" Gabriel so much. At a time when a lot of his compatriots are ditching their national team for t20 franchise leagues, this guy just runs in and keeps pounding in again and again in test cricket and looks like he genuinely cares about the maroon cap.

Actually a lot of players in this Windies team look dedicated to test cricket. Gabriel, Holder obviously, Hope is a very dedicated player, Kraigg Braithwaite and the dashing young batsman Hetmyer too. This team can develop into a very good team with some experience.

Post of the year.
For a long time Gabriel was the whipping boy of just about every West Indian fan page on the internet as he lumbered around with his average hovering in the low 40s, getting picked purely because he was quick and there were a lack of alternatives. The hashtag ‘morepace’ used to get thrown around a lot in mockery of him.

Here is a guy dedicated to his craft enough to actually develop it and learn it on the run, mostly (until the last 18 months as Holder has started to improve) with only Roach to help, and who is one of not many bowlers that fits the ‘bowls his last over as quickly as his first’ tagline. There is no bullshit, no carry on, very very occasionally a small word when he beats a batsman.
He’s everything I want this side to turn into. Oh, and he’s f***ing fast and mean.

Can't see any other result than an England victory in the test series.

Would expect them to win the ODI series too, the form they have been in.

T20 could go either way.

Still a lot of cricket to be played mate but have you thought about reassessing this prediction?
