If Armo can play the year at Sandy I think all our young guys will benefit greatly. Super vocal and never stops instructing whether he’s on the ground or on the bench. Very handy to have in the side

Tough half. Armo getting a ton of it but not doing much with it. Langlands good as was Phillips. Longy had a good couple minutes when moved on ball at the end of the half.
Marsh is a seriously big unit and can run as well as kick the ball a long way.
Down back I think Joyce is certainly ahead of Austin. Coffield doing fine defensively but not getting a huge amount of the ball. Similar story with Whitey.
Forward line desperately lacking tall targets with Paddy and King injured and Battle now a defender. We wouldn’t want Bruce or Members to miss any games. Rice playing up forward.
Off the field there’s lots of the players including Hanners, coaches and off field staff up to and including Finnis all down here for a look.

Probably winning the ruck battle and reasonably effective at ground level. However the same old story in regards to him not having a mark yet and it’s 3 quarter time. He does look fit though

3 quarter time and I’m heading home. For me the most exciting/impressive things would be Longy once he moved up the ground, Young and Hind’s pace and one piece of play from Coff at half back which showed his raw ability. Got the ball, changed direction, broke a tackle and then backed himself to take a bounce and hit a target. Doesn’t sound like much but that play showed his class.

I think the vfl app stats are just skewed. I think it is meant to be 6 kicks, 7 handballs, 0 marks and 1 tackle.

More realistic. Really does need to mark the ball. Vital for a ruckman in defence or attack. Another game in afl last night where hit outs led to naught. I actually thought the 6 6 6 rule would make hit outs vital but for reasons I can’t explain they seem less important

Prob not at this stage. He looks superfit. Gets caught everytime he gets it. The game may have passed him.

Good looks dangerous when he gets near the ball. Wont be at sandy for long.

I dont think of hamill is much of a coach at vfl level. But i have nothing to go on. Anyone got an opinion?

I don’t usually have an opinion on many things so I haven’t again on this one. My mates kid likes him though but he is getting a game so that helps

Well Young is probably waiting for Lonie's spot or for the forward line to lose its pressure. Unless something diabolical happens I can't see him getting a game any time soon.

Pressure for spots is good. Guys like Long, Phillips and Hind are really going to have to keep building.
