Gets booed as he is a spoilt brat who showed no loyalty leaving Geelong for megabucks then cried to get back to Geelong. Stages for frees throws his arms about at umpires no wonder every other side can't stand him.

So you actually havent read anything then i never put them in the same bracket or compared as you say.I could also have quoted your post about it being a choice and the question would be the same. It was just easier to highlight the incredible stupidity of comparing homosexuality to paedophilia.
So.....which one is it?

It not being a choice is your opinion also just not mine
So you too are in agreement with pedophiles also apparently they dont choose it either. Your argument is lame.

Just as some of us can laugh at the sensitivity of the Hawthorn supporters who felt compelled to boo because they were upset about a social media 'like'. Ablett expressed his opinion to like a post, the sensitive Hawk supporters expressed their opinion by booing because their feelings were hurt, and now the rest can express their opinion by laughing at the sensitivity over a social media 'like'. It will all be OK I feel, hang in there.
Ex ‘family club’. Clarko removed that ethos years ago.
You're not going to agree with everything that other people think/believe, some people seem to be unable to handle such a basic concept. Pressing 'like' on a social media post has certainly got some sections, clearly many of the Hawthorn supporter base, upset. They will have to learn to get over it.There's no 'sensitivity' involved in it. Ablett showed support for a discriminatory and bigoted opinion. Saying you disagree with something such as that is not sensitive.
It's easy to spot those two players from a distance for obvious reasons. Goodes with his skin color, and Ablett with his bald white skull. Makes it easier for the crowd to boo when they don't need to look up at the screen to see who is around the ball.
Agreed with your comment. Trying to work out what measures he can introduce to stop the crowd booing
1. Freekick if umpire decides booing of player is too loud, and then 50 if booing continues
2. Fine opposition club if booing freekicks incurred reach a certain number
3. Dock points from opposition club if booing freekicks reach an obscene number.
Well done your the best take a couple of comments out of context and its all your way just the same as the direction this post is headed way off topic because you people cant look past the one word in falou's comment that upset you all. I didnt agree with it but i was accepting of free speech but not many on here are.The bolded is literally the definition of putting it in the same bracket:
But thanks for answering which one it is.![]()
Why were Pies supporters booing him in round 1?Be responsible for your actions is all anyone can go on, his action was to like a post that was extremely bigoted.
You can bang on all you want about what is he actually liking. End of the day he is liking a post that is degrading people born a certain way, not really hard to comprehend why people were booing him and what for, i can defintely say it wasnt for the adulterer part.
Its bloody reckless for him to like that post because he "disagrees with all the sins" when homosexuality is on the same list. Just like it would be utterly stupid and bigoted to like the same list of sins with coloured people replacing homsexuality on the list
Hocking is an absolute muppet, just guaranteed he gets it every away game for the rest of the year. What exactly is the plan to stop it? And why doesn't he seem concerned about anyone else getting booed not wearing hoops?
Honest question for posters in this thread, how personally aggrieved are you by Ablett pressing 'like' on a social media post? One that he even went as far as to remove and give a valid explanation as to his reasoning for why he did it. Just a rating out of /10. For example, maybe the more sensitive Hawthorn supporters on Monday would give a solid 7/10 on the personal aggrievement front.
I'm genuinely curious if this is a real issue or just outrage culture at it again. Let's do it for science guys!
You have absolutely no clue as to what the religion scam is all about.

North fans booed Josh Gibson for four or five years.
Port fans booed Shaun Burgoyne for a couple of years.
Would it not be more productive to take your fight to the head of the Church then if this is such a real issue, rather than just a measly follower who pressed 'like' on a social media post because someone else shares the same faith as him?Well yes, homophobia is a real issue. Gary showed support for a homophobic post. I'm not outraged as such, but I do think he's an idiot and deserves to be called out for it.
So I'll give you about a 2/10 on the personal aggrievement chart. But keep on fighting that good fight I guess.I want to make it clear that I love ALL people regardless of race, religion, gender or sexuality.
I have always admired how strong Izzy is in his faith, it is not easy to share faith in the public sphere, and this is why I initially 'liked' his post.
I understand that liking this post appeared offensive and this is why I chose to remove my 'like' from the post.
- G.Ablett
This is a complete falsehood
Nobody denies religious people their right to worship their God. Non-believers are against Christianity when it impinges upon their world. e.g. when hypocritical judgmental bible-bashers try to shove their religion down other people's throats and lecture other people on how to live their lives. This is the big problem with many Christians. If they kept their religious beliefs to themselves, nobody would give a shit. But they're not happy to live their lives, pray to their God and keep it to themselves. That's part of their sickness. They always try to convert others into their cult or preach at them with unsolicited lessons from the bible.
This evangelical behaviour goes right back through history, from the Crusades to missionaries around the world forcing their religion upon indigenous tribes in the New World to the present day where clowns stand on street corners waving their placards and screaming at passers-by. Or just well-meaning outwardly-normal people who can't resist slipping a bit of "Jesus loves you" to vulnerable people who just need someone to talk to.
This is what Israel Folau was doing (and by extension, Ablett when he liked Izzy's tweet). They were using their fame as a platform to spread their Christian bigotry. Most people aren't cool with that. Folau and Ablett can think what they like. They can even tweet whatever they like. Just as others can give them shit right back at them. It's a free country. You can be a campaigner and I can call you a campaigner.
That's a laugh. Siding with religious bigots who publicly announce that gays will burn in hell unless they repent and then accuse their critics of being against diversity and inclusivity?!?!? Way to twist things around. Nice try, mate...Let's also give nazi skinheads and the KKK a free pass too. In the name of inclusivity and diversity, they have a right to preach about the nazi holocaust myth, racial segregation and how Jews have taken over the world.

I think Friday the 7th of June could be a wonderful night, a revisit to the 2017 QF when the puddy tats ran out onto the ground and Ottens was ringing that stupid bell no one could hear.Unfortunately it could be worse in a few weeks when the Geelong play Essendon. They just love to boo. An opposition mark, free kick, or just a set shot for goal, boooooooooo. They even boo'd their own team a few weeks ago.

according to the media a lot of Geelong fans were also Booing Ablett
It wasn't exactly hidden that Ablett has for a long time held a strong faith. Seemed to only have people up in arms when he pressed 'like' on a social media post - the more I type that the stupider this whole thing sounds. Screams of outrage culture, guess we just have to ride it and let them get it out of their system. Just a shame that this phenomenon has infiltrated football these days as well.Well I'm sure there are many many people who are campaigning to the church regarding gay rights. Gary is a public figure, and his support for a prejudicial opinion was public. Once again, deserves to be called out for it.
