In NRL SC the guys that run the SCTALK website have a "banner curse" on a different popular high scoring player each week. The kents on there believe in it too and base their trade/captain choices on it.

why would we get any at all if there are no more split bye rounds? I would love to see extra trades prior to round 3, but doubt it would happen. IIRC number of trades were increased to 30 prior to the introduction of the split bye rounds. Going back to 2 per round will help because people won't have to waste trades just to field 18 players during the bye rounds, and we won't have to worry about the structure of our teams in the lead up to it either. A win win for all as far as I'm concerned.
