After a tough month with 3 away games it'll be great to get back to the Gabba off an 8 day break and then followed by another 2 home games.

Out- Josh Walker(omitted), Alex Witherden(injured).

Ins- Harris Andrews, Lewy Taylor.

Lewy was extremely unlucky to get injured soon after playing a standout game for us, I think he deserves another shot.

Key match ups-

Berry > Bontempelli.
Gardiner/Adams > Naughton.
If our midfield can match theirs we look better forward and back IMO.

Agree Squizzy is unlucky to hit injury right after finding some form but I just don't know where he fits into the team right now.

Harris - absolutely and sorry Walker you always do a solid job. With out injured the obvious is Lester. But thinking long term and with Gold Coast up next it might be an opportunity to give a debut to someone and give them 2 games to at least have another backup ready for the finals.

I am so sick of losing to the Bulldogs by 2-3 goals. Since Fages took over our history against them has been:

2017 - Bulldogs win by 32
122-90 in Melbourne

2017 - Bulldogs win by 14
103-89 in Brisbane

2018 - Bulldogs win by 14
107-93 in Melbourne

2019 - Bulldogs win by 16
92-76 in Ballarat

It's become maybe our most frustrating match-up. Would love to end their streak this weekend.

Speaking of streaks, we've been great at breaking them this year - three more chances against the Dogs, Cats, and then our longest one in the Tigers before the season is out. Hope the trend continues.

He has an edge that neither Cox or Taylor has imo. I are say his pressure acts are far higher than we could expect from either replacement.

Has cox really earned his spot? Has missed a few games due to personal/family issues and hasn’t exactly set the world on fire when playing.

No doubt has massive potential but I don’t think he deserves a spot in the firsts

I'd like to let the dust settle ,we've got 8 days . Andrews for Walker . The replacement for Witho just depends on how we match up and who we see as our next best player in a final.

I think Lester would be the clear replacement, unless we keep in Walker and just bring in Andrews. Play Walker small, Witherden's defence has improved but Walker is on par.

Can’t see the dogs scoring as highly as in the games you have highlighted above. I also think we are a more functional unit up forward than when we last played them.

Yeah ,he was out of it early but to his credit he hung in there and contributed. Not quite strong enough for a KPP and not quite agile enough for a lesser role.
