Check the record of Premier Do Nothing and Spend Lots, think I win in a landslide.

Don't let your political bias blind you to the truth.
And your a Moderator..What I have said is my opinion. I am not arguing about it. The man is a completely incompetent. But that does not stop you from being Premier. Look at Shorten he thought he would be PM. And you have no idea my political persuasion. You use the word truth as tho you know what it means. Sadly you do not.

Who is arguing? Not me, I just answered your question.

You are right, I don't have any idea as to your political persuasion, nor do I see the relevance, just like you referring to me as a Moderator.
I am not a Mod on here, just another poster like you.

Andrews picked a Chinese firm with no experience outside china and did a cosy deal with his master's in the union's.

Compare that to NSW where they can build metros
Yea they had issues.

Even now they have issues with breakdowns.

Well Lil is safe, no need to take any action there Dan, in the 3rd year since the Chinese gave us the message that the stuff we stick in yellow lidded bins is rubbish, someone told her, Lil got the message, fair dinkum how does this Minister keep the portfolio:

The biggest challenge is the fact that too much of the waste is contaminated," Ms Ambrosio told 3AW radio.

"We know that if we actually separate out the types of waste at the kerbside collection point, we have a much cleaner waste stream."

Three years Dan, now she is throwing $10 mil of taxpayer money at the problem, whats her plan, blame someone else ..... get rid of her Dan, she's a dud !!

Love him or hate him, he's not going anywhere while he keeps doing things. In the short term only electricity threatens him IMHO, if the lights go out ...
True enough..plenty of tradie lefty types in Vic and plenty of Chardy drinking socialist types of the Uni( left wing) middle class. The share it fairly but don't take a share of my pie types. So yep Labor always looking good here. Liberals have not had a decent leader since JK and that cocky bugger got ahead of himself and paid the price.

Why don't they want to build the Waste to Energy plant in Ballarat? its ******* weird and an obvious way to deal with the problem. Even the WA Government are building one.

A waste to energy plant (as in one only) in Ballarat could not service Melbourne, landfill costs including Govt levys would be cheaper. The productivity of the waste/recycling trucks would be 'shot to bits' if required to off load/tip in Ballarat.
The waste stream out of the Ballarat region would be required to justify the investment - potentially the recyclable material would be required to go to the plant, not sorted & recycled.
Havent looked at the report on that plan, so happy to be corrected.

The plant in WA is at Kwinana not all that far from the Dockers new multi $million training facility at Cockburn 20km, 30 mins (see map below) - it is privately owned though lots of Fed $s are involved.

“There will be mandatory sentences for crimes against emergency service workers”

Says a lot, doesn’t do much. Easy motto for the Libs.

Yeah, but it sounds insincere when you remember that the Libs don't want emergency services workers to be paid properly.

These people are paid very generously for what they do.To say anyone does not want them paid properly is just BS. They have generous salary packages but is it ever enough?

They are paid handsomely. Calls for 80$ an hour on weekends is ridiculous.

On one hand you're acknowledging that it's a dangerous job whose employees require protection from the courts.

On the other hand you're saying it's not dangerous enough to pay them properly for keeping the community safe.

You're a ******* hypocrite, and you're full of s**t.

I never said that. My point was that Andrews and co made a big point about this late last year, press releases and media conferences.
Here we are 11 months later with the outcome that shows they are nothing but show ponies. And unreliable ones at that.

That all makes sense - is the cost of transporting Melbourne s**t up there so prohibitive to make it uneconomical?
