Excessive. There will be decent enough turnover without going this far. Probably 6-7 spots.

I’m leaning towards Ablett and Taylor retire. Kelly to leave. Smith and Scott Selwood delisted. The obvious Buzza, Abbott and J Jones delistings.

Henderson to stay on very reduced contract.

Are we in danger of becoming North Melbourne with all these old top ups?

I'd rather just get rid of all the old guys and put time into guys like Krueger, Constable, Narkle, Miers, Clark, Henry, Fogarty, Parfitt, Sav.. This is our next generation core.

- Get 2 first rounders for TK
- GAJ, Scooter & HT to retire.
- Bews, Abbott, Z Smith, Parsons, Buzza & Hendo traded for late pick upgrades or delisted if OOC and no interest
- Atkins & Jones re-signed.

10 list spots available, take our five picks + the WCE first rounder to the draft.

Sign Goldstein as a FA as cover until we can find a future ruckman and maybe look at a project rookie.

Go into 2020 with 38 on the list with a significantly younger side. We'll be s**tter than we are but should be able to build a solid core foundation for the future. We do have some decent youth coming through.
I was beginning to think I was the only one who rates JJ as a player.

I think we should pay overs to melb and get Preuss he only played 2 games for them so a good offer may just tempt them....

May as well just throw the bank at Grundy.
7yr deal on massive money.

Look to cash in on Bews and maybe Kolo if they're worth something/anything.
Think we need to keep Bews but if we retain Henderson I dont mind fishing to see what Kolo could get us and Henry looks to take his position....

Not so massive, because we won't play him when it's wet...

All logical ... Id not be adverse to one thats less obvious if we can go harder at the draft from the pick gained.

I know it will never happen, but why doesn’t Geelong have a genuine crack at one of the best ruckman in Gawn or Grundy, rather than an over 30 has been?
Could potentially have 3 first round draft picks this year if TK goes, and we are in desperate need for a ruck long term...

O'Connor Blicavs Kolo
Stewart Henderson Henry
Clark Higgins Duncan
Dahlhaus Hawkins Cockatoo
Miers Ratagolea Rohan
Goldstein Dangerfield Parfitt
I/C from Selwood Steven Constable Narkle Stanley Menegola Guthrie Atkins Tuohy Fogarty Kreuger Brownless Bews Fort Parsons Zuthrie Simpson Any players we get via kelly trade, 1st round pick. Not so bad really

Aside from the obvious improvement in the ruck department, I see that team as being not too dissimilar to this years. And what would it cost to bring in both Higgins AND Steven? Almost certainly jeopardising the future for a very slim chance of success in the short term. I wouldn't be relying on Cockatoo at the moment yet either.

Personally, I'm happy to gain Goldstein as a FA and then stockpile a few first round picks to use on the likes of Flanders and D.Stephens. Give it a few years and adding them to Clark, Parfitt, Miers, Constable and Narkle and you have a pretty handy core. Get another KPF and KPD and you really have a very solid base to launch an assault in 2022 and onwards.

Yes, being optimistic. I really would love to see the club being aggressive in their approach to the draft as we saw PA do last year. Whilst it may not bear fruit for a few years, I reckon PA are on the right track player wise. I just see us staying in the eight but never seriously challenging for another few years if we just continue on this current path.

Definitely Guthrie but I doubt he'd command what you need. Maybe Duncan? Not sure though that is wise considering we lose Joel in 12 months I'd say and Kelly is out the door. Huge loss of talent in 2 years from our midfield.

Can you blame him? No way I don't, even though I'm not the biggest fan of Stanley but he did a job, but when the coach doesn't have in confidence in you it's bloody hard

Kelly is probably the guy with the most value .... looking to add another R1 .. you are talking a player like a Stewart ..someone would bite at straight away. That might hurt a bit too much ..

Need to find a mid size forward. A player can take Rohan spot... Kruger at 196cm, yes he maybe tall but can he play his spot in the size?
