You do realise he was answering a question where the camp was one of a number of things right? Not the only thing.
Also the camp still affecting the players is not them being weak...the fact is the club never really acknowledged they made a mistake or made it up to the players, and currently outside of pyke, the guys who led it like burton are still at the club...so the situation and resentment still lingers.
Classic victim blaming, calling them weak.
Club and company cultures start from the top.
The key comment I took from CEY's interview was ....It Divided the group ...and by that, meaning the Playing listCEY comments about the camp splitting the group kind of fits into what an AFC coach, who was on the camp, told me about the purpose of the camp.
There was a strong belief from the coaches, especially Pyke the players failed GF day and it was their fault.
Before the game they felt it was in the bag. Too much cockiness.
The camp was designed to break the players egos and build them back up again. But it was ran by cowboys and what they did was pit the players against each other.
I didn't get details on what happened, didn't want to grill him as we were at a wedding and the coach was not "at work".
A few friendships broken that weekend I guess

Give them timeAt least millenials aren't a generation of climate change deniers and casual racists.
It's been aired over and over
Bringing it up is just playing into the Vic media
It doesn't help the club
They're on good money
If you're going f off already

So what happens when we get a new coach, have a bad season and the players start blaming the camp again? When does it go from being a necessary criticism to being a tired excuse?Excellent post.
**** offWho gives a toss .. why does that make them different.

But we were in winning position in countless games against the top 8 teams so the players did try in the 1st half of those games.....the not trying occurred at the end of the season against teams we were meant to beat and that's when most saw the "writing on the wall" about Pyke, he approved the camp. There is clearly a divide in the group and I don't know the reasons why or what happened exactly at the camp to cause it to happen but its clearly there.... but that doesn't excuse players effort this season, there were times where as a fan it really didn't look like they were trying or that they even cared about winning which is rare as 99% of athletes play sport because they want to win and they like winning and that is something the players need to step up and take responsibility for.
Alot of those matches in the back half of the year I felt sorry for Don because he was copping it from everyone, cost him his job in the end, when it was the players effort/heart that was lacking.
The sense of entitlement some of these players accross the AFL these days have is staggering, just in the last 10 years even.
Don't forget sexists homophobes bigots blah blah blahAt least millenials aren't a generation of climate change deniers and casual racists.
Yeah I'm sure the effects of climate change will become less noticeable over time...Give them time
Not for usIt’s gonna be a long trade week.

No details ....guess we'll find out this afternoonAny more info on the detial ie what picks if any.
So BB is handling the truth well? How about Chapman? How about Camporeale? Can handle the truth? FMD - this is what the millennials problem is. Want everything handled on a platter. Need to be cuddled, need to be rewarded, need this, need that. FMD.
Oh and I’ll add another issue - work ethic.
I have no problem speaking out and calling bulls**t when I see it.
The failure of the club to address issues mid year (would suggest that was asked by the players) is the main problem. And yes, Campo, Burton and Chapman need to go.
I want Burton gone as much as anyone around here but I seriously doubt it's going to suddenly heal the fractures in our playing list.Depends if those in charge of implementing the camp and misreading the follow up are still at the club.
Even the majority of Bulldogs supporters don’t see them getting Keath and Bruce, without losing their first.
Crows will give Keath and P28 for P13
Bulldogs will give P28 for Bruce, which Lethean alluded might be enough.
Crows give future 4th or late pick for Betts and Greenwood for 20.
Late pick for Betts or future 4th which will be used for Frampton
This leaves us with 4,13,20,23,48 and a futures depending on above scenarios.

If we get 13 for Keath and 28Why do that?
