If the Suns don't want to part with pick 1 or 2, or Luko then we don't trade him IMO. If he has a good year next year and we bottom out then were likely to get a top 5 pick for him anyway.

I still think we re-sign him.

Honestly I just see pick 20 for Greenwood and pick 49 being the deal, values Greenwood at 31

I will be happy to eat it if he proves right but doesnt it seem like Damo now works without any inside info at all. The way he sounds so confident about Crouch seems unconvincing.

You can't lose when you're in his position. If you say it often enough and confident enough, people take it as fact. Then when Crouch doesn't leave because he was never leaving he can just spin it as "parties couldn't come to an agreement," or "the deal fell through."

But if by some miracle it does end up happening, he looks like a hero who has his finger on the pulse.

The papley deal is the key. Sydney will give a pick back when they trade him for pick 9.
Could be something like this..

Syd trade Papley and 25 to Carl
Carl trade 9 and 43 to Syd

Carl trade 25 and future 2nd to Gc
Gc trade Martin and future 3rd to Carl

Gc get another pick in the 20s after losing their pick for greenwood.

It really is scripted. Seems like they give each player trade its own day so the club(s) can use it as a PR exercise.
