I heard that Belgium was automatically counting the eldery who died as coronavirus cases, wihout even testing them.

Weird.
There are people on this forum who are genuinely ignoring what was said by the the chief of the Illinoins health department:

From 15m 05s of that clip.

Coronavirus deaths are not simply those who die from covid, they are those who die with covid.

But watch what happens right now, the chicken littles will come out in force to defend their 'this is as bad as the spanish flu' narrative.

You have to understand that most of these people had no jobs or social life prior to the lockdown.

They love the 'new normal', and the lies it has been built upon.

CDC (an organisation a lot of the lock-downers in here use as gospel) has just changed its advice regaridng COVID-19 transmissiont o now state that it has a low propsect of surface-to-person transmission.

If that wasn't patently obvious. I hope all those who have been wiping down every surface, wearing gloves in the shops and spraying disinfectuant on their groceries now begin to realise they've been played by the MSM's fearmongering.

Good news that that has been confirmed for us coming out of this though.

Even If someone had a pre-existing condition they still died from covid because they were living fine beforehand...

If I have a serious nut allergy but accidentally ate a Nutella sandwich what killed me was the sandwich- not the allergy. (because I was perfectly fine before said sandwich).

It's a pretty simple question:

- Would the person have died that day if they did not have COVID-19?

Like the debate about mortality rates, I feel it's part of an agenda by the anti-lockdown and conspiracy crowd to downplay the virus. It also cheapens the value of human life by saying 'well, sure you may only be 50 but you had hypertension, so it was your time to go anyway'.

Yep, the bloke who had a heart-attack definitely died of COVID-19

Interesting model from Columbia University suggesting that if the US shutdown on March 1st, two weeks earlier than it did, then 83% of deaths up to May 3rd could have been avoided.

By March everyone knew how serious the threat was and yet Trump was still going on about business as usual and that the virus was just a bad flu. Now of course he claims they should've been warned earlier and that "it was the incompetence of China and nothing else" that is to blame.

Actually, that is a real possibility. It's known covid-19 can result in myocarditis that aggravates arrhythmias, triggers fibrillation, or leads to blood clots that cause heart attacks (or stroke). This is why people with cardiovascular disease are a high risk group.

EDIT: No one dies of "coronavirus", they die from the effects the virus has on the body i.e. heart failure, liver failure, kidney failure, respiratory failure.

Aren't you going to provide links to these sources?

It's one of my bugbears. Technically, no one dies of AIDS either but you'd be called out as disingenuous, rightly so, if you claimed it didn't kill people.

I don't have a source for the Belgian thing, I heard it on the news in passing the other day.

I actually live my life and don't spend the day researching how dangerous Covid-19 is like the unemployed on here who don't want lockdowns to end

Or you could try responding to the evidence presented like an adult.

(You are an adult, yeah?)

If you're going to start throwing around names for apparently the unemployed introverted pro-lockdown crowd, you don't deserve one. Same applies for FBI who I noticed posted similar jibes.

That is definitely not what they said, re-read it.

they said this ..... re-read it!!

.........

But Belgium has gone further than that, also including the deaths of non-hospitalised people who are suspected of having the virus.

So, in nursing homes, for instance, it is registering deaths based on the assessment of the medical doctor, which takes into account symptoms they've shown and if they've been in contact with confirmed cases.

..........

so in fact like many others they have been guestimating

A quick google.

What are the signs of lack of oxygen?
Low blood oxygen levels can result in abnormal circulation and cause the following symptoms:
  • shortness of breath.
  • headache.
  • restlessness.
  • dizziness.
  • rapid breathing.
  • chest pain.
  • confusion.
  • high blood pressure.

Pretty easy to imagine that some one prone to heart attack and already has high blood pressure, could easily stroke or arrest if they are having respiratory problems.

The pandemic in Sweden,

of interest, population grew 2.3% over that period, so in population adjusted terms, this is actually 1.1% lower than 2017-18. in fact, if we adjust for population, it's the 2nd lowest season for all cause deaths in the last 5. (sweden's population has grown 8% since 2015)

When you look at the TOTAL deaths 2020 vs average , the discrepancy for Belgium was much less than some of their European Neighbours. ( perhaps excepting Germany ).
That supports what they are saying.
