SA and WA closed their borders and did not allow games to be played. How can they play there?
You obviously missed last week's showdown... which involved players which came back from interstate!

SA government would have allowed a hub, so long as players quarantined prior... but playing ganes in a COVID free state would be like sensible where games revenue is at stake.

Selfishness has put this season at grave risk.

Afl has no choice in my opinion until Victoria's covid cases subside. They need to get the 10 Vic teams out of the state asap. Play the next few rounds in hubs in Perth adelaide and maybe tas where it is safer. Then revisit it in a month and hopefully by then victoria will be safe again. Call needs to be made now

This is bigger than the Dons.

They played Swans last week. Swans played North today.

Yes McKenna didn’t play but he still trained. If proper medical procedure is followed all 3 clubs isolate for 14 days
McKenna and the rest of the players tested negative on Wednesday. He had an irregular test on Friday and tested positive this morning.
All of the players tested negative on Friday except McKenna, but obviously they'll all quarantine themselves for the next 48 hours until the new test results comeback.

What’s the go with Essendon vs Carlton next week? Yay or nay?
No chance.

Your players need to isolate for 2 weeks. They won't even be able to train.

makes no difference. You can test negative, still be a carrier and pass it on.

Are you a epidemiologist?

Are you a epidemiologist?

nope. My best mate is. A very very good one. Called him as soon as I read the tweet and said explain this to me

AFL may not fellow best practice. That is based on eliminating as much risk as possible. Doesn’t mean the AFL has to do that

You can be asymptomatic and be a carrier. The only time a person who tests negative will be a carrier is if the test result is inaccurate, which makes everything a problem if we go down that rabbit hole.

If you test negative and the result is accurate, then it literally means that you don't have COVID.

Why are people talking about ramifications for other clubs?

All the evidence we have suggests he contracted it last week. He tested negative as recently as Wednesday. He has had no contact with any other players from other clubs.

Salty non-Vics doing their best do put us down.

How? If you're asymptomatic, you still test positive like McKenna did. If you test negative, it means the virus is not in your system.

not correct. Different studies show different results. We don’t even know if 14 days is the max incubation period. There is so much they don’t know about Covid

We shared a plane with Sydney to Melb on Friday and are about to board one back with them. The ramifications of this are far bigger than 1 club.
