9B) Veto Of An Executive Decision
If a significant portion of the Committee believe that the Administrator has made a decision that will have a dramatic negative and long-term effect on the league, any Committee member can propose a veto. If the proposal is seconded by another Committee rep then a vote involving the entire Committee is to take place. A majority vote will allow the Committee to block or reverse an Administrator's decision.
"a dramatic negative and long term effect"
I hope the Committee understands the difference between disagreeing about expansion and a decision that would supposedly have dramatic negative and long-term effect on the league.
In my leadership group, I voted no for expansion. I was the dissenting voice.
Everyone has the right to veto.
But I look at 9B, and whilst I don't agree with expansion, I can't see a DRAMATIC negative LONG TERM effect.
Dude, we successfully vetoed a player going from the Gumbies to the Bombers after he was delisted. Definition is out the window.
Despite that, if existing clubs think that the expansion bids are detrimental to the league moving forward, or the clubs themselves, then there's no doubt whatsoever that adding two new clubs can have a negative long term effect on the Sweet FA. Drama? Well, what isn't in this place?
