I thought (like Dangerfield in Burgoyne's tackle) Sicily had an arm free - the bigger worry would be the 'two movements' where Ziebell lifted and flipped Sicily.
Unlike Dangerfield, Sicily didn't "play dead" to milk the free.

The AFL changed the rule and a sling now includes 1 arm free, which wasnt the case when Burgoyne laid his tackle.
So technically it was a dangerous tackle. But highlights how dumb the rule is because the AFL decides based on media coverage.
How the AFL can change the guidelines willy nilly during the season is ridiculous and amateurish.
I think they should of both gone for a week, but after they let Burgoyne off they can’t suspend someone else for a similar incident.

This isn’t a new phenomenon, this should of been nipped in the bud a long time ago. The League has knee jerk reactions to any bad media, it is amateur. The league owns the game not the media.
