Atkins would almost certainly provide us band 1 in relation to Brad Crouch leaving.

Why would Gold Coast with an overflowing list of real talent (and another AFL boosted batch arriving this year) want either of these list cloggers from the worst AFL list in thirty years? Do absolutely nothing for the Gold Coast, wouldn't get a game even with a long injury list.

Eh, Atkins is believable. Good outside piece and probably in need of a change of scenery. If you were looking for a reasonably priced 100 gamer, you could do worse there.

Eh, Atkins is believable. Good outside piece and probably in need of a change of scenery. If you were looking for a reasonably priced 100 gamer, you could do worse there.

Knight isn't unless they're just looking for depth.

Gold Coast are looking to replace Harbrow and Hanley off of halfback, and need a first choice fullback to take the oppositions number one forward.

They don’t need depth players. They have enough of them already.

I don’t want to intrude but it only works that way for 1 in 1 out. 2 out doesn’t equal a higher pick as we found out when we lost chaplain and Pearce in the same year. We got 2 second rounders that we were hoping would combine for a first but they had to be seperate picks.

We might be able to get a late first for him, Smith, Laird and M Crouch are probably our best shot at getting a first round pick in.

We need to do whatever we can to get another first for next year. We already have 2 x first this year (maybe 3 if we get pick 2 for Brad), so adding another first round pick next year needs to be a priority moving forward. We may be able to achieve this by offloading one of our senior guys.

Pretty much the type a lot will hate, being a very outside outside player.

That said, he's a solid outside player. Can rip a game apart in a quarter, can go missing for long stretches of time and shirk a few contests. If you could get him relatively cheaply, he's a good piece in the bottom part of a contenders side, that said, he'll be dead weight if you implode.

I'd like to see us take whatever we're paying Luke Brown and use it to make an offer to Liam Baker at Richmond. He's currently rookie listed (!) and I believe is OOC. He's younger and better than Brown and like many of Richmond's fringe players you'd expect is potentially gettable.

He gets more touches, but less meters gained.

There's also no stats on goals against which would be the #1 stat for a small defender.

No worries about intruding - but the case you mention is a long time ago, and I'm not sure that the rules wouldn't have been fine tuned since then.

He annoys some supporters, but that's because he's not quite won the Brownlow we all think he can do and he should be paid at least $800K per year for the next 5 years( to get us another band 1 compo pick) that we just can't afford - but GC could.

Did you develop Bassett? No. You got him from another club.

Did you develop every player on your list? No. In fact your club has been referred to as the 'destination' club in recent years, meaning that you are getting experienced players form other clubs.

If you have nothing of value to add to the conversation then head back to the Port board.

25% more touches in less game time...and if we could deduct Brown’s 40m kick from every opposition behind then I reckon metres gained might look quite different.

I am not sure if there has been an example since. So not going on anything concrete, but that is my understanding of the rule. See how you go though I guess.
