A reminder that even a Rising Star winner's career can spiral into nothingness...

It can, but you're more likely to go on to become an all-time great than a complete bust if you win it. Only he and Rhys Palmer were the two genuine eff-ups (and Bont should have won it over Taylor anyway). For the Taylor's and the Palmer's there is Buckley, Goodes, Cousins, Riewoldt, Mitchell and Selwood.

Not that you mentioned him, but regarding Stephenson; he'll probably not end up in the Hall of Fame, but I don't think a Byron Pickett-like career is out of the question (maybe one more flag )

Thanks to that Melbourne loss I have us finishing 7th instead of 8th or 9th. To be safe I’ve put us only beating GC any other win is an added bonus.

Great result for us, If the Blues can do the job we really have to fall over badly to miss the 8.
Could Melbourne really have played a worse game that what they just dished up? If i were they, I would be making two calls; first the the management of Clarko and second the Ross Lyon's handler.
