This is Billy's best ever performance for the Dogs. Brilliant way to go out, stick it to Browne, Morris, Pickering, etc (and Dunks if he's going along with their crap).
Billy had some talent just couldn’t put it together consistently and avoid the bra fades but AFL is as tough mentally as it is physically

point me to where I’ve been this full of bluster. Sure, I troll and have my strong opinions but it’s well above some of this. I also haven’t posted on the MB in months. Largely, actually wholly, because I’m banned.

I’ll use more inclusive language as to not offend the various words on the internet that populate this forum next time
Just normal language will suffice

Clarko is a great coach, but is also limited by a massive ego. He needs to suck it up and be crap for a while, and earn similar picks to those that bulit the core of his dynasty team (Roughy, Franklin, Lewis, etc).

They desperately need to rebuild, and the longer he keeps them in ‘finals contention’ - the longer they’re out of ‘flag contention’.

Agree with you that there is some talent on their list - although Sicily is out for 2021 - acl?
Great post, as I said in another post all coaches have good and bad points even the really talented ones like Clarko and our own

What I love the most is Jong mentioned our awesome culture on social media with his re-signing post, as did Billy Gowers on his retirement social media post. Gowers one almost felt like a jab back at the haters.
I am waiting for the 2 Toms to report it for balance

They will pay a chunk next year. Not in 2024 and 2025. He's contacted for 5 years, that's why I expressed concern about the last two years of his contact when he'll be over 30.
Recently so they could fund other renewals. It’s backended to 2025.

Pretty sure his contract was back ended and they couldn’t afford to sign other players so they negotiated to spread his money out over the extension. So it’s not backended now, it was back ended prior to the extension

Got a screenshot?

There were more comments but he deleted them. The blokes a fair dinkum grub having a dig at Gowers on his retirement post.

Dogs fan too!!

Sliced bread is overrated, i remember the days we used to slice our own bread i was like a samurai with a bread knife. Don't get me started on minimum chips used to be able a feed the whole family with a serve of minimum chips, now it's a couple of fries if you're lucky. The humble five cent bag of mixed lollies could feed an African village for a year, now you get one lolly for five cents if you're lucky. Sorry about that value for money rant now what were we talking about ? Oh that's right Adrian Dodoro what a smug looking prick, should sell used cars.
I think you should stop living in the past. Next you'll be throwing up 10 cent footy records, 30 cent pies and sauce and 20 cent cans of VB.

I’d be shocked if they gave us both 22 and 23.

From Adelaides point of view they have a lot of picks this year at the moment and they would normally only do 4 maybe 5 picks max.

At the moment they have 9 picks 1, 9, 22, 23, 33, 40, 50, 56 and 66 that are worth points, ie swap value. Say they will only use 5 of these on draft night

They would be looking to consolidate these into as many first rounders as possible therefore swapping 22 and 23 with a wink not to pick JUH may be there preference

Dogs may choose to do this deal on draft night once Crows don’t select JUH at #1.

The game where we beat Geelong at Marvel (Harry Taylor missed shot after siren). Billy went into the midfield in the second half of the game and really swung the match in our direction. He smashed packs, ran his ar5e off and played a really good half of footy.
In that game he was fantastic but particularly that second half when the game was on the line.
I have been a critic since that game, mainly because of what i saw in that game. If he could play like that for a half against the Cats why couldn't he put more of those quarters together. I was always hoping he would but it never happened again and his kicking went completely off the charts in the wrong way.
I hope him all the best going forward he has been a good citizen for the Dogs. He should be proud of what he has personally achieved as a player. It's far more than any of us have ever achieved.

They might not even want to use 5 picks. Shrinking lists, already bringing in Hately and they’ve already had their big clean out last year
