Instagram. Some flog posted some classless comments on Gowers' thankyou post to the club regarding his retirement.

Cretin decided to post some real nasty sh*t, potato emojis and working at Coles. Prick.

I have no idea how Instagram works

Can anyone post ? Is it real names or Alts?

Mate it's not worth posting. I wouldn't want this oxygen thief getting the attention he's craving.

Real name, Andy or something. His profile is private but Billy has taken the bait, poor bastard, there's a lot of back and forth with the troll. Man there are some real nasty pieces of work getting around social media.

He turned it to private, how weak!

I know that Billy wasn't a fan favourite and had some stress-inducing moments but he has been a pretty good clubman and obviously enjoyed his time at the Dogs. If anyone wants a nice way to thank him for his service and efforts, I'd recommend checking out his Movember page, as it goes towards a great cause.

This is going to be interesting.. If we are indeed interested in Treloar, I would assume it's only if Dunkley gets traded?

If that's the case it puts us in a potentially tricky situation..

Ideally if Treloar announced he wishes to become a Bulldog, that puts us in a great position to deal with Collingwood and potentially get him for a very good price (draft pick wise)

However does that then give Essendon some leverage in the deal with Dunks, knowing we have committed to Treloar and need the Dunkley deal done to fit him in?

The other issue is if we do manage to keep our Interest in Treloar quiet and avoid the above, if Essendon wait until the last moment to finally give us what we want to Dunkley, will we have time to get Treloar done?

Who will blink first? I have a feeling essendon will low ball us and we won’t accept anything too low. It’ll come to the final day.
That would be their plan. so they know it would be harder to use the two firsts unless North get involved with their pick 2
Screws us over with other players we might have in mind.

What I love the most is Jong mentioned our awesome culture on social media with his re-signing post, as did Billy Gowers on his retirement social media post. Gowers one almost felt like a jab back at the haters.

Good question. If a deal is done for Dunkley it will happen in the last ten minutes on Thursday. We saw what Sam Power did to the Saints and Adelaide last year. This won't give us anymore time to do any deals so if we were trading for Treloar it would have to be a three way trade you'd think.

is it true the AFL bring mediators into the room if need be? If we keep pushing back, does that bring one in?

It's true, but I doubt it would eventuate here. This is one of those situations where both player and club seem happy to continue on as usual if a trade doesn't happen, so a mediator shouldn't be required in the event Essendon don't make a good enough offer

I wouldn't think with a contracted player, because all Sam has to say get F'd, don't need a mediator for a player that's being poached, offered this huge amount and wont pony up what he is worth considering his standing in our club and 2 years to go off a fresh done extension. But want other clubs to pay way overs for their players that are OOC.
Now run along.

Having received rediculous compensation for Daniher (pick 7), Essendon want pick 8 for an uncontracted player (Saad) and another 1st rounder for a bloke whose been regularly on the injury list for three seasons (Fantasia). Then they try to low ball GWS by offering a future 2nd round pick for an up and coming 21 year old in Jye Caldwell who was pick 11 in the 2018 draft . The gall of this mob has no end. You can bet they will try all types of low ball offers for Dunkley and hope that we will be stupid enough to buckle on the last day of trading.
Look, if you were an Essendon supporter and the Bumbers can achieve all of this you would probably think Dodoro is the best thing since sliced bread but I think it's long overdue that somebody (hopefully us) takes him to the cleaners.

But but but but don’t forget “why wouldn’t a list manager try get the best deals for his club” 🤣🤣
