Played fine in R1, then never seen again.

Handled very poorly IMO
Maybe.

Never shown THAT much. Got an extension after one reasonable game, and that was clearly an error at our end.

There's probably a good reason why he didn't get a game after we came back from COVID.

I think Ben Davis will get the chop too

May as well keep him on the list as we all be paying for him any way.

Not sure it matters.

We made a mistake in extending him. We don't need to make a second mistake in keeping him around.
So you think we should pay out his contract and piss him off I take it?

He's one player similar to Gallucci that has shown real signs he could be a decent AFL footballer. Lacks nothing talent wise just lacks consistency in his game.
Pretty obvious the list management think there's an AFL player in there if he can find consistency in his game.

The fact he's contracted has likely saved him at this point but we've put a fair bit of investment in him up to now so 1 more season isn't going to break the bank.

Drafted in '16, that's a long time to not even show anything at AFL level.

This will be a Lazarus story if he plays more than 2 or 3 games

And the saddest sack of all finally arrives.
Cmon give everyone a go. It’s got some tainted chalice meaning or derision no matter how it plays out.
You gotta be a fence sitter to whip through 3 million posts on your board.

A double lack. Does two negatives make a positive?
Some players you just gotta hold to see out the contract.
I don’t think his ceiling marrying up with the rigours of the game hence you’re consistency slant.

It's admirable to stay chipper in the face of our worst season in history and subsequent equal-quality list management but if you're happy now that means you're never unhappy.

So essentially premierships, wooden spoons, wins, losses... they're meaningless to you.

It's Saul Goodman.

Kinda loaded and then you’re take.
Fair enough.
I guess it creates more robust discussion.
At what end of tether do you want people to be? All ends seems logical.

Not at all, but I'm able to see positives in what we do, I mean you're more than welcome to stay wallowing in negativity but I choose not to.

But yeah I loved finishing bottom and coming within 3 weeks of being the worst side in nearly 60 years, and I also loved losing our best midfielder for a joke of a pick.....

C'mon mate, you've gotta try harder than that.

Oh? But I thought people like this were sad sacks?

A number of positives to come.out.of the season, people here, such as yourself tend to lean far too much to the negative.
Omg he got you there.

HS is a lot like Sloane, "enjoying his footy more than ever this year". Does defend him a lot too, maybe he is Sloane. Wonder if he also thinks Chapman is the protector and godfather of the AFC? That'd be a dead giveaway.

May as well keep him on the list as we all be paying for him any way.
If we're paying him no matter what, we may as well cut him and make the list spot available for someone who might have a future at the club.

Paying him is one mistake. Having him take a list spot is another.

That's a sunk cost fallacy.

The decision to keep him now shouldn't be affected by an earlier mistake to overpay him. That decision has been made and gone.
