Atkins did his shoulder, he wasn't dropped. You said some senior players were dropped when only Seed and Mrouch were dropped in your time frame with Mrouch returning week after. As I said, mostly kids replaced seniors out of necessity, not choice.

How am I wrong? I've identified that there were only a handful of senior players dropped all year and at least as many examples of selections against a rebuild strategy, ie Mackay ahead of Sholl by a month. But, you might be referring to list management ent which I see you gut mixed up with in a previous post. You don't follow conversations too well, it's a common weakness of yours.
He has to accept our nomination though and last I heard Tyson believed nomming father son ruined his other kid's entire career.

I'm living in the present, you're dreaming of the future. The very last selection decisions we made was to play Mackay and Gibbs ahead of Hamill and Hartigan ahead of Butts or McAsey. This cultural shift at selection has not changed yet, we selected experience ahead of development all the way to round 18 2020. It astounds me that you think there's evidence that contradicts our most recent actions.
Do you really believe that a Tex that can't run or use both arms in a marking contest needs to play purely because he's got 200+ games under the belt? You will prefer to see one of McPherson, Hamill or Sholl in the SANFL so Mackay can bring his 200+ games as well. And you think this accelerates our rebuild? There's apologists, and then there's you.

I'd be very (and it goes without saying, pleasantly) surprised if Harry was a star of this comp next season.
Seems too soon, especially as he was a bit on the raw side. Talent is certainly there though, but really, plan on 2022-2023 for Harry to make that step up.

Seed only returned for 1-2 games when we had injuries, but Sholl preferred
We didn't play the younger guys out of necessity whilst these older guys sat it out.
You have your agenda & you are sticking to it despite evidence to the contrary.
Keep doubling down if you must but the facts are we blooded plenty of newbies this season at the expense of older players.

I thought that if we nominated a player for the ND, they needed to be taken in the ND (by another club, by us matching a bid, or by us as our last pick/s). And then if they aren't nominated or taken in the ND then we can nominate them before the RD and take them with our last pick/s there. Wasnt that what happened with Ben Jarman and Jackson Edwards? They may have changed these rules since and I am unaware of it though, so happy to be corrected.

If the player is selected in the ND, by another club, we have the right to match the bid (with a 20% points discount).
If the player is not selected in the ND, we can automatically add them to our rookie list, using our last selection in the rookie draft. No other club can select them in the RD. The original nomination carries over to the RD - there's no second nomination.

Kane's memory does not match the actual reality. He's recalling an erroneous feeling as to what happened, not what actually happened. He's just used Atkins as an example and Atkins did his shoulder, or do you think he was dropped too?

Yawn, I'm not arguing 2021. I'm arguing based on what we actually did in 2020. Now, next year we might see out of form seniors dropped more or injured seniors firced to recuperate. But we didn't do much, if any of the 2 in 2020. Until there's on the ground evidence of the cultural shift at selection, I don't know how you can argue that's it's certain to have happened.

We currently have 31 on our senior list. Hately makes 32. 4x ND selections makes 36.

My question was solely around whether the rules with nominations had changed since Jarman, where we would have been forced to take him with our last pick in the ND if we nominated him (and vice-versa) before the draft. I will note that in that case we did nominate him during a second period - in between the ND and RD.
You used him as an example to support your senior players being dropped belief. He wasn't, you are wrong. And he did come back in for 1 game when Gibbs and Knight also returned. So you're wrong again. Mackay was preferred ahead of Sholl, yeh, that screams rebuild.
And while you're being obnoxious and wrong, Seed is a great example. Played the first 3 games and as mentioned, 1 of only 2 players dropped in the period you referred to. Came back for round 7 with Tex when Sloane missed injured and Frampton omitted. Who was yet to debut at that moment that could have replaced Sloane but had to wait 2 more rounds and Rat, Knight and Gibbs to play their last games and also Smith to be injured? Who you ask? Harry Schoenberg. Seed replaced Sloane when Harry could easily have gotten his debut. Even then, the next game we wheeled out Knights, Rat and Gibbs before debuting Harry.
I don't understand how a clearly intelligent person just ignores obvious facts directly in front of them. 2020 was not a cultural shift at the selection table. Yes we played a younger group, but that doesn't mean there was philosophical change.

based on what we have been able to see to date, Borlace looks like the biggest improver and is absolutely worth a list spot as a developing quality defender. They must be fairly sure Newchurch is a long way back and won't get a bid and likewise Edwards, they would be thinking he is unlikely to attract a lot of interest in this draft with a low number of picks expected to be used
