Ok, i am not normally one for stupid polls like this, but seeing a similiar trend who would you take?

Hansen.
Alot of Outstanding CHFs running around.

Very few Outstanding CHBs. If any (last good one was ummmmmm jakovich?).

(10 bucks says this is the new hodge v ball v judd debate).[/quote]

Yeah looks like it could shape that way, and i hope it does.

Oh btw, no Mitch Thorp option??? This kid is a gun as well remember.

Yeah that's right I forgot - every single draft pick turns into a superstar now don't they?

Might be a better bet to have this discussion halfway through the year. Seeing as only one of those 3 kicked the crap out of the rest of the talent pool in the under-18 championships, I'll go with Hawkins.

If i added a thorp option i woudld then have to add Sellar then tigers fans would say why no reiwoldt, it would just get to big. These 3 are the most highly rated to.

Except the Cats got Hawkins with their 3rd round pick because he was father/son. The other clubs didn't get a chance to draft Hawkins.

I have only seen Scott play a half of football, and haven't seen the other two play at all. Surely judgement has to be reserved until they 'at least' play 20 or so games.

this cant end up as a judd ball hodge thing coz hawkins was never on the market
it can only end up as a plain comparison between their careers, not who screwed up the drafting

You mean kicked goals against boys?

You dont get what he is saying... Hawkins has a mans body already, Hansen and Gumbleton still have plenty of muscle to put on.
Physique and build play a big part in footy. If someone has a distinct strength advantage then thats a skill/talent that at that level some dont have. Hawkins has it, will probably be stronger than most players in the AFL most of his career so i dont see how this is a negative point against him

He isn't going to have a physical advantage nearly as much as he had when he was in the juniours;)
Nowhere near

but he still will have some advantage
which is a giant positive for him which at this stage has him a fair way ahed of hansen and gumbleton imo

Good luck to the kid. Don't be clouded from the fact that he has a long, long way to go.

Well i for 1 rate Thorp higher than Hawkins. On par with Gumby but just behind Hansen. But thats just my 2 bobs and i didnt actually make the poll did i.
