Good analysis, must admit he’s growing on me a bit

Someone else mentioned previously but it would be great if hit-outs to advantage lost were available.

What you don't know from the data is whether a disproportionate number of Grudy's hitouts to advantage came when contesting defensive 50 stoppages against Charlie Dixon, or if in the game against Freo if Ladham's dominated Treacy and Lobb but lost to Darcy.

Perhaps the AFL are driving the agenda. See below on their email/web page. Who says the 'Dogs are "not happy" - written as if they are fuming, I'm sure they'd like him to stay, but I'm sure they understand a lack of opportunity.

THE WESTERN Bulldogs have suffered another blow days out from its Grand Final defeat with emerging midfielder Pat Lipinski requesting a trade to Collingwood.
As revealed by AFL.com.au, Lipinski has been offered a three-year contract extension by the Bulldogs, but has informed the Dogs he wants to head to the Pies.
The decision has infuriated the Bulldogs.
"The club's preference is to retain Pat as a Bulldogs player into the future, and it tabled a three-year contract extension earlier this season as a show of faith in the talented 23-year-old," the Bulldogs said in a statement.

Why Dogs should chase Port big man, how will Pies land Lipinski?

Pretty sure hutchys mob run the AFL webpage as part of his total media buyout he did through crocmedia. You’ll note AFLnation are heavily biased to the top of the page if you want to listen to the radio through their app. Likewise SEN where he has lots of influence. That’s also why Hutchy stalwarts Barrett, Lloyd et al are constantly on there with opinion pieces and why it stinks with Essendon bias as well…. I think that’s the case. I could be wrong it’s just from memory and it certainly makes sense the way the page is run..

So yesterday Pickering came out and refuted the whispers about us getting into Darcy Moore's ear.

I am shocked that this board didn't go I to meltdown over this rumour.

That was 2 years ago 😂😂

A very simple look at Ladhams' games between Round 9 and Round 13 while Lycett was injured:
  • Clearly dominant to Jordan Sweet in Round 9. At the very least he'd be a meaningful upgrade here.
  • Clearly dominated by Brodie Grundy (2 goals and 10 coaches votes) but still had 21 possessions and 9 marks himself.
  • Edged out Sean Darcy who he is the same age at in a reasonably close contest
  • Out-rucked Blicavs and Ratugolea (not a high bar) against the Cats while getting a bit of the ball.

He actually responded quite well against Grundy after the first quarter.

Points for Darcy

Reckon we deal with Lions who have late picks and give them a future pick as they will not use all there picks. They also need points for Ashcroft in 2022. So future second for this years 47, 51 and 57. Gives us 757 points.

We then split 17 with Geelong for two second rounders. Picks 30 and 32 which gives us 1213 points.

Trade Lipinski for a future 3rd which will won’t be that different to the pick we trade to the Lions if Pies struggle next year and we have a similar season.

In- 30, 32, 47, 51, 57 and Pies 2022 3rd round pick

Out- Lipinski, 17 and 2022 second rounder.

Thoughts?

Don’t we then need 6 list spots entering the draft? Not sure how we do that if we also bring a mature ruck and a tall back in then that’s 8 players we are turning over. Lippa and Wallis plus some brutal decisions to achieve it. Most of our team is in contract as well so it’s gonna be a hell of a dance for Sammy P this year.

That’s if they want to ruin club relations.

Can’t use Carlton as a comparison. They are a pack of backstabbing pricks.

That seemed more like Gold Coast’s fault than Carlton. Decided to lose a player for free instead of taking an offer which was probably unders but still reasonable. Then traded the following years pick 11 for pick 27, when they could’ve used the assets from the Martin offer to get that pick.

We can only use points with the picks equal to the amount of list spots we have available. So it depends how many of those spaces we’ll have open but I think in general this is sort of what we’ll look to do.

Is Sam Lloyd considered a spot being removed from our list coming into this trade period now?
I think he retired after initially being listed as a senior player on our list this season.
