List Mgmt. 2021 Trade Targets

How can media and teams honestly think 22 isn’t enough (it’s well overs) for Clark yet a late first round pick for a 23 year old ruckman entering his prime in a position of incredible need is absurd.

Crazy stuff.

There’s absolutely no world on exposed form, potential or supply of players at those positions that Clark should have anywhere near the value of Ladhams.

Crazy

a flanker at port not getting games would elicit calls of pick 77 from the media and if port suggested anything beyond a 3rd rounder he would get torn up by the media insisting he’s difficult.

if the crows walk players to the psd back to back they’ll find player managers directing their players away from the crows imo. I think player managers influence on players and making contract decisions is underrated

I already believe that dawson met with port cause he’s manager asked him to take the meeting and to at least think about us even tho dawson had his heart set on the crows.

we didn’t swing him, but next time does that manager push his client more towards us?

next time when a manager gets us a meeting with a player already considering Adelaide do we manage to swing them?

theres a reason adelaides list of player exits is far longer and stronger than the players coming in.

Clark was a first round selection by a Victorian team
Ladhams was a rookie for an SA team.

Ladhams is superior and worth more than Clark but most in the media honestly has probably seen ladhams play maybe 4 times.

How bad does Dawson want to come home? If we get to the last day of trade week, and he's got the option between a risky way of maybe but maybe not getting to Adelaide or a risk free way of definitely getting to Port, he's got a decision to make. Does he want to get to the Crows so much that he's willing to risk not getting to SA entirely to do it?

I’d love for him to go to the PSD and North to pick him up. Imagine the melts

North would be crazy not to as well. Worst case scenario, even if he refuses to set foot in the place and sits the year out, North just trade him to the Crows next year and get a free second rounder.

Why would player managers care?

Why would player managers care?
Because when players select port they get here, they don’t have to risk their future going to the draft and maybe not getting to their club

it’s a stupid way to do business. Yeah you don’t have to pay, but you burn relationships with other clubs, it’s a terrible look when trying to acquire future players, and creates a chance where another club may steal your player in the PSD

Wonder how Dawson himself feels about all this.
Thinking it would be an easy move to adelaide
If it's the state of SA it is easy, Port are just down the road.

Any way why would you or your family want the Crows to be your club.

Crouch & stengle drug offences, driving unlicensed, Tippet gate, walking on hot coals, the infamous camp and the latest, a senior player being called out for racism.

Curious to what you think you'd offer for a trade, a first rounder and what? Also are you matching our contract or expecting Dawson to accept unders?

We'll work something out.

Port could easily match the contract offer for Dawson if they wanted to. Up until this season Dawson wasn’t exactly a well known name. Its just funny that the ineptness of your list management team is shinning through yet again this year. Since 2017 Port has been the far superior South Australian team for recruiting and retaining players.

It was a fairly common occurrence for assistant coaches to be tapped up and taken from finals participants (Dean Bailey left for Melbourne on the eve of the 2007 finals series, another example off the top of my head) until the AFL ruled that you couldn’t leave to take up a new role until your team was knocked out a few years ago.

I can’t remember what incident brought that to a head.

Edit: lol Powerage beats me to it
Alistair Clarkson left us before the 2004 finals series for Hawthorn

So you don't want to match his contract but still except him to choose you?

Any suggestions? They've knocked back pick 17 so it would have to be better than that.

Also why didn't you match our contract when he hadn't decided on us?

You may of heard of a player called Ladhams. Sydney are quite keen..
