No doubt many of the trades will get complicated by pick and player swaps but it's still fun to try and predict the results (not what you think we SHOULD pay, rather what you think they WILL).

Rat: Future 1st with a future 2nd coming back

Zerk: 37

Sweet: 43

Surprise player gain: Shaun Mannagh (not strictly a trade but a mature pick up)

Surprise player loss: Wines

I just don’t like giving Geelong two 2nd round picks especially for Ratugolea.
We have to start being less of a pushover.
If they don’t want a second rounder then we go to the draft and pick him up there.
Fk Geelong.

We get some players in that plug some gaps.
We keep some other players who we should have moved on.
We move on at least one player who would have been handy backup for an early season injury.
We claim it’s the best list we’ve ever had.

We will 100% use our 2024 first round pick.

What a crappy off season this is. All we have to look forward to is scraps from other teams who want first rounders for them. If we give up our future first we are no better than gold coast and should close up shop.

2024 1st rounder for Rat
Bergman for Zerk
2023 2nd rounder and Burton for Sweet

Surprise: Jonas unretires and is named co-captains with Wines and DBJ. They all share number 1 so only one can play at a time.
Surprise 2: Stinkles signs a water tight contract making him coach until the end of 2023.

Did we win yet?

Wines is reunited with Schofield at West Coast for their Number 1 pick with our future first going back.

Pick 1 to western bulldogs for their picks 10, 17 and Sweet.

Pick 17 split for a few 2nd or 3rd round picks.

Clurey to North for pick 40.

Geelong take 2 3rd rounders for esava.

Essendon take a 2nd in the 30s for zerk.

If Wines approaches club for a trade, we shouldn’t pressure him to be traded!

Wines & 44 for BZT 28 & F2
Hayes & Clurey for Sweet & F3
Esava for our F2 & 38.
Mead to Sydney for 42

Leaving us with 28,42,71 in this years draft.
And our 1st and ess F2 for next years draft. Plus two F3 for late father son selections.

Who comes up with this s**t? Ollie is s**t now but he's a brownlow medalist. The two coming in are barely first 22
You must be getting excited with all this Clayton Oliver buzz.
