Most def that would be huge... a likely reason why crows offered us the three firsts as they knew they could get both JHF and Dawson once they got the first pick

Problem is with nobes and younie we know plenty about him, he may have burnt his bridges already with those guys?

That's not correct. we got 42 and 47 for 40. In previous drafts, picks in the 40s - third round picks - start to become speculative, as the last 5 years demonstrate. 42 and 47 give us a better points position to try to get a better pick in the 20s. The Pies are about to waste pick 27 to take Daicos. We should try to swap picks 42 and 47 for pick 27. That would be a very good outcome.

As I said earlier, if we could do that we would end up with Picks 1, 20, 27, Edwards in the mid season draft, Coleman-Jones and a couple of picks in the 70's, plus first pick in the PSD.

You obviously don't rate Coleman-Jones. Do you not see that as rather odd, given the state that the tigers board managed to get themselves into during the last week and a bit?

Pick 27 = 703 points
Pick 42 + Pick 47 = 711 points

Is that enough? Or do we three-way trade with St. Kilda for #62 and another 123 points?

Do we send that peaheart X for pick #62 alone?

Heya, interesting seeing some of the Dawson talk on here.

How would you feel if North selected Dawson in the preseason draft on a 4 year deal (which I think is what Adelaide are offering), assuming Dawson still indicated that Adelaide was his preferred club?

I’m really not sure what I would do in North’s position (I’d probably pass I think to protect team dynamics, depending on how professional I thought Dawson would be about it). Though I know I would love it if North stole Dawson from under Adelaide’s nose, if a fair deal cannot be done.

I'm sure the only thought on our mind would be to take the best player available. We have the connection back to Dawson and swans in Blakey.... it would be a steal and he is young we have the cash so all good.... can't believe you would be stubborn enough to let him go for nothing though. Pretty stupid on the swans behalf... pick 17 is pretty close to fair value

Does the occasional catchy thing but misses goals he should kick, flies for big marks that he almost always drops and impacts games only very sporadically.

I’d rather we look to draft a small forward.

They wouldn't need to offer anything! They just walk him to psd where they will have first pick. Simple and they won't look the bad guys as they have offered what pick 23 then pick 17 and now Mel pick which could be anywhere btw 15-18
