So basically across the 2 deals we swap Cegs and Lynch and then our 3rd rounder becomes Freo's and our 4th rounder becomes GC's... Can't say I'm mad at that

and reeves was a steal in draft terms. Apart from vickery, Hawks have done well in the ruck recruiting over the years

I guess I tended to judge Jonathon on his best games (see Sydney match earlier this year) more than his worst.

Honestly we have had worse rucks on our list over the journey.

I personally wish him all the best, I think he might surprise a few here if he is given half a crack at it down Bellarine way.

There’s that word again - HATE. It’s not hate, we just don’t rate him. I’m still in disbelief that we shipped off Pittonet (after 6 years of development) and gave Ceglar 3 years.

Brisbane were interested and would have given up a decent pick but we punted Pittonet instead for peanuts - shocking decision

So in the end we had to practically give him away just to bring in a younger ruckmen with a potentially higher ceiling. SM and MM doing their best to fix up Clarkson and GW’s stuff ups

I still think Monkey is the magic ingredient, ceglar was a delist and monkey got (wow I just looked up) nine solid years out of him and he’s in with a late career shot at a grand final at the cats

i have liked Jonathan Ceglar for most of his career, i just think his last 2-3 seasons have been so inconsistent im happy for us to trade him.

But I reckon he's been smashed for his ruckwork when I think Big Boys has been worse.

yea thats my feeling too, the club was mentioning improving our draft hand and we didnt, so i am disappointed, but on the brighter side, we picked up a good ruck in Max Lynch and moved on 2 guys that were stagnating in TOB and Ceglar so theres a bit of good news to come out of it imo.
