it would be if there was just something else to it, a yellow trim on the collars/cuffs even. Dont get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of simple designs, but this is literally just an eagle head on a royal blue jumper, just comes across as really lazy.

Reminds me of a looser version of white longsleeve skins basketball players sometimes wear under their jersey.

I think it's just that every other club puma manufactures for (Carlton, Richmond and GWS) have full-colour long sleeves so they just plugged our guernsey into that template without checking what long sleeved North jumpers are supposed to look like. They treated it as an afterthought.

i bet they change it now based on the backlash. they probably just got this prototype from puma and they're seeing how people react to it before making a decision.

Its also a weirdly smart PR move. If they do change it they can be all "weve listened to our members" and make them feel like they care.

i do think we should have kept the inverted strip, but strictly as an away/clash jumper. it's possible that if we'd kept it the AFL would've made us wear it for home matchups against some clubs, which might be why they got rid of it and went with a white clash.

Jaidyn Stevenson famously wears them whenever he can, Curtis Taylor wears them pretty often too. We've pretty much always had at least one player who prefers them, from Brett Allison to Daniel Wells to Jasper Pittard.

we used to be able to buy them under previous manufacturers, i have long sleeved guernseys from reebok and x-blades, and i've seen the canterbury ones around. I think it's that Puma doesn't sell them, because you can't get them from Carlton, GWS or Richmond either.

it's now being reported by inner scrotum types on the north board that the photography people grabbed the wrong prototype without consulting the branding people, and the longies will actually have hoops.

hope it's true. could be another one for the unused jumpers thread.
