I hate that 50. Game tempo is going up, someone copped high contact at a loose ball and Libba yells "HOW?". Just tell him to settle down, it's hardly umpire abuse. And the dissent rule is just an unnecessary addition to the game with the abuse rule already there. Absolute dog shite.

Agreed. Yet every player knows the rules, there is no disadvantage to either team.

I think it is still well possible that the Dogs could win. They are an AFL team after all.
Freo doing well though which is pleasing.

Because I am paranoid I think we keep getting Derwayyne to commentate our games as some kind of in principle punishment.

Agreed. Yet every player knows the rules, there is no disadvantage to either team.

But it kind of sucks energy out of the game. The best games recently (like the game last night) have had high tempo, hard contest moments and to ping a player for basically just asking "How?" loudly at the ump basically says "no energy in the game". Save the 50's for swearing or pointing or anything directed at the umpire that is genuine abuse, raising a voice and questioning is hardly an issue. Otherwise we're heading towards this.
