There was a time when supporters kept clubs accountable, but when you have the media feeding egos and treating supporters as if we are just bottom feeders without a clue, then the environment of a club becomes unbalanced. There is a definite artificial insulation surrounding our coaching dept. and playing group where The Creed is all but forgotten and only fit for the supporters to follow

When you see some one like Caroline Wilson state ''This club is so beholden to its supporters'' it really tells us the psych of how and what the AFL industry and its pigs at the trough mentality really do think of all supporters, just like most corporates, they couldn't give a flying **** about the people, just there wallets, sponsorships and the next TV rights deal.

We are really seeing a huge shift from what clubs used to be like, especially now that basically the AFL owns it all and has set up a system that strips away ownership of clubs and its accountability to its members.

For the sake of people's mental health, probably best to disengage the old mentality of tribal attachment and treat it as pure entertainment, if it is not entertaining then do not give them your money nor more importantly your time.

Back to my comment earlier in the day regarding a clause in Kenny the fuc*w*ts contract, that if he doesn’t make finals he is gone, well that came from an employee at the law firm who wrote the contract.

This makes me twitchy for whoever revealed confidential and possibly privileged information.

When you hear this you just know she is repeating what she is being told by our weak, out of touch, snobby admin.

I've literally never seen anything like it. The complete 180 from Caro (Mon time to leave - Wed leave Kenny alone) was bizarro world stuff.

She's sniffed the wind that he's staying and doesn't want to look foolish.

Been told not to rock the boat

Which sums it all up really

Port Adelaide assistant coach Brett Montgomery could be on the move as the Power consider making changes to its football department for next season.
Ken Hinkley is expected to remain in charge as senior coach for 2023 but the club’s president David Koch said “something has got to change” after their worst season in a decade.

“We have got to make some hard decisions and we will assess every single line item in the football department,” Koch said.

“Turn it around or watch out.”

Montgomery has overseen the midfield unit, but is expected to weigh up his options for next season.
He departed Western Bulldogs on the eve of their finals campaign in August 2016 as the club went on to win a drought-breaking premiership under Luke Beveridge.

The club is yet to hold formal discussions with its assistant coaches for next season but Hinkley continues to have strong support in the playing ranks and football department.

Chad Cornes (defence) and Nathan Bassett (forwards) are Port’s other two assistant line coaches.

Port made the preliminary final last year but has crashed out of finals contention in 2022 with eight wins from 20 games.

Clubs are meant to inform their assistant coaches by August 1 about their contract status for the following season to help give them time to assess other options.

Former GWS Giants’ coach Leon Cameron could be enticed to join John Longmire at Sydney Swans amid reported interest from Western Bulldogs.

GWS assistant coach Steve Johnson may also make a return home to Victoria after a stint at the Swans and Giants.

Just out of interest, why hasn't the club actually categorically come out and said Ken will be coaching in 2023..... contracted is just stating the obvious isn't it?. Are they waitingon Ken to advise them after his job interviews at GWS?

Our board just fires the people around Ken.

The one constant..... I mean you'd think it is obvious wouldn't you?

Koch wanted to pretend he was tough for a little while.
