He is just a media personality who has ties to Essendon. He is no different to any other media personality who gives their opinion on something. It probably carries more weight in the public eye as he is an ex Essendon champion, but no less influential than anyone else.

True story - shortly after Mitch Lewis arrived at the club big-boy McEvoy accidently cleaned him up during an inter-club pre-season match.
