When the umpires set a precedent in the first quarter where 19 tackles result in 0 free kicks, and then on the other side 16 tackles = 4 kicks with 0.5 seconds to dispose of the ball. Does this have a psychological effect on the game?
Without doubt, Brisbane are doing plenty to shoot themselves in the foot, but the umpiring is putting a win out of reach.

Hopefully Brisbane can turn it around at half time. If they start attacking, and just going for it, luck has a funny way of following endeavour. And I have to say the Lions have really lacked endeavour so far in this match.

They need to take the bull by the horns.

Hmmmm brisbane winning the free kick count 11-8.

Free kick count means nothing. How are people still not understanding that? It proves nothing. It adds nothing to any conversation. No one is upset about the 'amount' of frees. It's the integrity of each particular decision or non-decision that is complained about.

Maybe you should focus on Hipwood dropping a mark and falling over resulting in a goal and Zac Bailey resulting in another goal. Geelong should've kicked 4 more goals but Hawkins has the yips. You got looked after last weeks wit the umpires, You can't have it every week unless you're the dogs.

100% this.

The free kick count could be 20-0 the Lions way and they'd still be losing. They are fumbly as shit, I'll give Answerth a pass for inexperience in a final but Hipwood and Bailey no such luck, and McStay and Daniher are limp dick competitive in the air, no frees needed for Geelong defenders when they just take the mark.

As a neutral watching I don’t think umpires have had an influence, cats have just been better.

Amazing when supporters ignore the terrible errors by their own side and blame the umpires

The AFL want Dangerflog to win a flag to go with his Brownlow and AFLPA Presidency, this coupled with the umps always kissing the Cats on the **** means Brisbane never even had a chance. Sorry mate!

When you dominate contested possession, you get more free kicks.
The lack of football knowledge among you clowns is astounding! 🤡🤡🤡
If you see my post directly after yours, you'll see I acknowledge that. However, there's no doubt the umps have lifted the cats above the Lions in this one. They'd have to be at 105% to even the ledger against the shocking umpiring.

We absolutely need to be better going inside 50. I'm just infuriated by the different interpretations on holding the ball.

Still slightly confident if the umps can **** off and we get our game going.

Umpire bashing are from those hoping we lose. There has to be an excuse.

It's straight from the Hardwick textbook.
