Doubt Allison makes it past another contract and Sharman couldn't get a game with King, Membrey and Hayes all outWe still have Allison and Sharman as tall forwards too.
Yeah definitely debatable, really comes down to what he wants and where he sees himself. He'd be currently down on confidence as a forward and with his juniors background, he might be keen for a role down back.Agree, although I don't see Bing keen on making a move back to defence
Yeah I'm putting a line through them currently (happy to be wrong though). We still have Allison and Sharman as tall forwards too.
I think Unless Sharman shows something on the wing he will be cut at the end of the year.Doubt Allison makes it past another contract and Sharman couldn't get a game with King, Membrey and Hayes all out

Alison is lucky he has until end of 2024. But they could just pay him out if they needed list spot
Was that player Clavarino ?Clubs get smashed by the AFLPA if they do. More likely to delist a player they want to keep that is out of contract. I spoke to someone in confidence that there was a player we wanted to keep but Kent was contracted so delisted the keeper. Happens all the time.
Surely should get easier now that the AFL has signed off salary dumps.Clubs get smashed by the AFLPA if they do. More likely to delist a player they want to keep that is out of contract. Well we had all 3 talls out so if your 3rd tall can't get a game he's probably in troubleThink Sharman is structural. He's a third tall more than a KP. Allison is contracted. Still listed. I thought that was a list of our tall forwards. I'm not sure pretending that they don't exist makes them disappear.
Remember it took the death of Fitzroy and the Bears to make that monsterI really want Gold Coast to succeed and to hold onto their best players and build something as formidable as Matthews's Brisbane,
but selfishly, I'd also absolutely love to get Noah Anderson and Ben King home, particularly the former. Hope that Gubby is cooking something up with a certain Saints board member.

we did it a few years ago. He got one game . Same season as Parker.paid the guy out.Clubs get smashed by the AFLPA if they do. I wouldnt right either off just yet, as obviously marking wingman are in vogue.Doubt Allison makes it past another contract and Sharman couldn't get a game with King, Membrey and Hayes all out

Robbie was a 1 year rookie contract so it couldn't have been that. Though IIRC he wasn't well liked and they sent him off before the end of the season.Yeah we got the AFLPA pissed off about it. I think it was Robbie Young.
Robbie Young was taken in the national draft so he would’ve had a two year contract.Robbie was a 1 year rookie contract so it couldn't have been that. Though IIRC he wasn't well liked and they sent him off before the end of the season.
Young played 3Yeah we got the AFLPA pissed off about it. I think it was Robbie Young.

The list did have 2025 written on top of it. I think it was more a prediction than what we have now.
The discussion has been around whether we need to bring any more key forwards in. I think we will

Assume Allison stays the delistees seem fairly self evident.

Personally I'd prefer keep Leo and Coops another season but if they can't get their numbers up by the end of the year then they probably have to go.
I'd add JB to that list giving roughly 5 players turnover which is the right number for us. Buggered if l know who we'd cut next year but that being a difficult exercise means the list is in good shape.
Every club has a similar sized list of players out of contract at the end of the year. You'd say that anyone not playing is potentially on the chopping block and we have to delist around 6 but reckon he's too good to throw away myself. I'd probably suggest that Leo is up against it to sign on again. DMac might be cooked I reckon. Campbell if they take the bounce away, Jones could be unlucky to be injured at the wrong time. I think they are keen to off load Gresham just to free up cap space personally. Sharman is the end of next year as is Allison and nearly every other player we'd like to keep apart from King and a good portion of the kids.
We have heaps out of contract at the end of the year, I reckon Gags left a bit of a mess for SOS to clean up.
H Clark- pay rise or trade
Higgins- pay rise
DMac- delist or drop
Bytel- delist
Peris- probably delist
Gresham- trade or slight rise
Webster- probably 1 year on similar money
Connolly- delist most likely
Stocker- pay rise
Wood-pay rise
Coff- similar wage or drop. Potentially trade/delist
Byrnes- pay rise
Ross- pay rise
Campbell- delist or similar pay
Highmore- delist or similar
Jones- delist or drop
And apparently we haven't got as much room as you'd expect for where we are at. That's a lot of work for SOS to get done. Heaps will want a bigger pay day. Even guys like Ross got lowballed so will want reward for longevity and output.

Who said we dont have much money in the cap? Last we heard, we offered over 800k on a long term deal to De Goey so we clearly have money for a big recruit and that would have been offered while budgeting to keep players like Gresh and Higgins. Most of the players you've listed as 'pay rise' won't be a significant enough to hurt our cap.
