Multiplat AFL 23: Launch Thread (Xbox release date TBC)

STATE OF PLAY:

• The game is out for Steam and PlayStation. There have been issues with Xbox release and it is unclear when the game will be available.
• Big Ant are aware that there are playability issues & bugs at present.
• Content has been temporarily removed from the game to identify where the issues lie.
• This content will be re-introduced via patches in the coming days.
• Big Ant have released a summary of what is to be reintroduced, which can be seen below.

Sympathy for content creators? Lol. These dudes are trying to make a living out of sitting there playing a particular game, they aren't gonna take a dump on the one company that makes the games. All it's done is a case study on not using content creators as your only source of marketing, especially ones where **** all people even watch.

They're what make this the deepest AFL game ever.

Seriously though, this has been the mantra throughout from Big Ant:

Biggest budget ever
Microtransactions mode

I get some people are looking forward to that last one, but **** me the priorities as communicated to us plebs have been way off.

Big Ant made his whole career. He's got gameplay up of "previous versions", but he's playing against another person, which takes the AI largely out of it

Exactly - you cannot trust these people. They are not in it for the consumer. The worst part of these Youtubers is when the slimy devs get their hands on them. Mitch Robinson gave it an 8/10 which is astounding as well. It's clear that this is a broken product.

We have obviously had issues with the zero day patch and are working to resolve asap.

There's been video made by third parties in days previous that show a better state of play than what is being presented today.

We're trying to work out what has happened and will rectify asap.

It's not going to be fun reading, already isn't, but I will front it, be here, read it, and make it right in the shortest timeframe possible.

Nowhere in my post did I say I feel sorry for them. But baseless accusations of being disingenuous in their feedback for money are pretty gross. I reckon there are far better places to direct your angst.

I don't want you to do anything, because it kinda looks like you just wanna dump on the game. But if you're interesting in actually knowing what happened, use some critical thinking and realise that Ross has pretty clearly said that the version that's live isn't what it's meant to be.

I'm sure that once the patch (or correct patch) is released, Ross will tell us what happened. It could be something as simple as the wrong version was launched or the wrong patch was uploaded. It could be something worse and we have AFL No Man's Sky on our hands.

Yes. Both versions are the 1.001.003 (I think) build which is clearly, not the right one

Except he hasn't. Because you're telling people to "read between the lines" to arrive at that conclusion.

Which I can't blame you for doing so because Ross hasn't bothered to be straight up with anything to do with this game so far.
