But, If the afl has said we have access to match a bid on sanders, then you’d have to think we’d trade up with west coast to get 1 (Reid) - our rd1 + port rd1. Then, you’d have to think we’d go into deficit for next year (in order to match sanders, so next years pick 1 isn’t pick 1 (worst case scenario). In that case, it’d make the most sense to trade our f1 for Gold Coast (23 rd1) hopefully with something extra coming our way too.

Speaking/guessing what we should be doing is like playing 4d chess.

Why would we go into deficit? In that case we are better off trading ports pick for multiple seconds, or a player and a second/third.

As for TT, who the **** knows. He'd be one of the few players who can play like that and leave his fans none the wiser as to whether he actually wants to be there. I've seen and heard of too many fluctuations in behaviour from him.

The goal isn't to form the best group of blokes.

It's not "anything goes" but if you're trying to put together a team of young elite footballers and you're not willing to work through some character issues then you're severly handicapping yourself.
