State of play now post trade period

32 on the senior list And 5 rookie list atm contracted for next year
5 first rounders
2 senior list out of contract 1 rookie out of contract

Can have 37-7 rookies or 38 senior list and 6 rookies
(36-8 an option but would mean only take 4 picks if bundled up higher in the ND)

Think turner stays on the rookie list, gives that ready made experience in a position of need

So if we take the 5 first rounders we go 37-7 and have 1 free rookie spot

Or if we bundle picks up and only take 4 nd picks then we have 36 senior list and can have 8 rookies
Or have space to bring in a dfa or 2 or keep the uncontracted senior listed blokes and go 38-6

Overall I think we safely have room to bring in 1 dfa (ready made ruck)

Then just take our first round picks in the draft either 4 or 5

And that should be all get in on night 1 of draft and complete the list

We've got a s**t load of picks, we don't need to use them all on kids in the draft. We could have used a couple to bring in somewhat experienced players to address holes in our list.
Why - keep our picks instead of going after what can only be described as “hacks” left looking for a trade. We’ve done our business with 4 players - we don’t need the ones around today.
Our only moves now should be either snag pick 1 or try and get another top 10 pick.

Just got back from the Tittybong two's B&F, lovely part of the world is Tittybong.
Word on the street is we may keep our current picks or trade some of the current picks for another clubs current picks.
We may also be looking at Knackers McGinnity as a ruck option, it could happen but it might not.
That is all I have.
Plenty to play out, as we say!

It’s an educated guess.

We turned down the Hawthorn offer which probably would’ve got us Curtin. This has finally stopped the rhetoric that we’re taking Curtin at 1/ trading down for Curtin.

So now the talk is McKercher is the one. It’s now becoming apparent that the club is keen on him, even if the media isn’t launching into it yet.

I do need to stress though, aside from our list manager saying basically nothing on trade radio yesterday, Reid will be taken at 1. It’s just whether the club is as keen as the fanbase is.
You are not taking Reid

Reid and pick 27 verses passing up McKercher or Curtin and then one of North's 15 17 18 to get either Collard Tholstrup
Reid will be at North

Whether you get either McKercher or Curtin and then one of Collard or Tholstrup will depend whether North blinks

Pre Clarkson North would shit there pants and give you to 2 15 and 17

Now you get 3 and 18

End story

Soldo isn't a hack, and we need a decent ruckman.
Sweet and Fullarton aren't established but they've been in the system so they're not starting from zero. Given the high picks they went for, I would have liked to see us have a throw at the stumps.

Yup I think Port only have a F2 and F3 and that's it over the next 2 drafts.
Look, I think it's hilarious, but I also wonder why nobody at the AFL has prevented them from doing it. There are rules about how many draft picks you have to use, aren't there?

This Fox Trade Day recap is the Ginnivan show

Is that the same dude filming the sex acts at the nightclub?

Might not be of course, and I apologise if I'm in fact incorrect. Seems to be leaving in a hurry.
THank ****en God there wasn't a rubber chicken involved. Oh Lordy is all I can say, should that have been the case

Brady says we will look for pick swaps over the next 4-5 weeks.
Not the most startling revelation

We have first rounders coming out of the whazoo. We have zero need to instigate any trade but could make out quite well helping other clubs facilitate them. Turn the phone off for 3 and a half weeks, enjoy some gardening, then let other clubs make their phonecalls.

They will have their full set of futures next trade period... only this draft will they have two futures

I really doubt the rumor is true, way too convenient for it to explain away two other scandals that have gone down AND the trade.

Tough midfield to break into. Unlike ours until now.

It's disappointing that all these deals are getting done with other clubs for cheap picks, whereas we have the better picks but aren't doing any deals.
Until now being the key word

That North midfield could be scary in the next two to three years.

Oof.

Just need some talls and some Clarko magic and you might be on a winner
