Could see Selwood doing it, probably wouldn’t want to steal any of Tomahawks thunder though

I would put money on Selwood being one of the two chairers when Tom plays game 356

I'm not yet convinced about Mullin being best 22 in the dry nether lone on a slippery deck and it's looking like being an old fashioned slog this arvo in the wet, late change for me Touhy back in Mullin out strictly because of conditions.
Didn't Scott learn that lesson the hard way circa 2019. Never ring late changes based on the weather forecast.

Conditions? You do know where he grew up right?
That being said, I haven't seen one second of footy this year. Will have a look today.

stac This makes the most sense.
Mullin is trying hard to do the right thing as directed by coaches, fluffed a few plays, wanting to succeed. All of those considerations may have zapped his confidence?
Someone noted his kicking has improved. Perhaps he’s not playing to his natural instincts?
I wonder how challenging it is to transition from Gaelic footy to Aussie Rules?
Wells + coaches believe in him. For years there were players who needed time to develop + we see them blossom into terrific players.
Not every player can be an Ablett.

Changes are too defensive. Losing danger, stanley and mennagh reduces our attacking options.

Atkins, parfit, clark and bruhn all in the one midfield is awfully ploddy. Seriously lacking some speed.

But we are only playing hawthorn. So shouldnt matter.
If it's rainy then I don't mind it

Mullin is Irish, should thrive in the mud 😉

Dry day against any other bottom r team? cats by how much

Today? Rainy conditions against Hawks.

  • Forward line key position assets potentially nullified by the conditions.
  • Backline structured to take intercept marks potentially nullified by conditions
  • Backline susceptible to smaller and medium types against a forward like that basically only has small to medium assets
  • Midfield reasonably matched with what is on the park. They're missing their best user we're missing our best ball winners so conditions favour them I think.
Big day for:
  1. Toby Conway. Important in the conditions that he finds our mids some space and gets involved at ground level.
  2. The smalls: Close, Miers, Stengle Dempsey all need to get involved away from f50 and show their class. Defensive
  3. Parfitt and Bowes: both need to show strong 2 way running today
  4. Mullin: conditions will hide his weaknesses and leverage his strengths. Run and chase my friend.
  5. Chris Scott: so far we've beaten a 5-8th team at home and a 14-16th side away. If we want to advertise ourselves as a destination club we must win well here.
  6. Bailey Smith: informative viewing

I'm swapping him out for Touhy he's hardly an Egyptian and he's proven.;)
True + frankly, while short sighted, I mainly want the win for Hawkins, four points is the bonus.
Tuohy would be itching to play.

To be honest, I have zero clue who's even played this year. I should go look at the team.
People are talking about Managh? I have no idea who that even is :)

Surprised Touhy is out though if he's not injured. Might be a casualty of being versatile and no longer having a defined spot?

Ok, just looked at the side. We will obliterate them.
That being said I know 1/8 of the hawks players :D

Need to build percentage. I looked at our fixture last week and we have a run starting soon of about 7 straight hard games.

Got a platform full of folks at South Geelong station - I swear there's been a missed train though and maybe I should have got one an hour ago 😂

Also got a few AFLW players waiting to board the train - love seen the cross over at games

Tuohys an old guy being rested for the 5 day break if there was a late change it would be mannagh.

I've noticed the drop off in interest for a few years now hope everything is alright personally rather see you here more than less and hope your prediction of flogging the Hawks today is spot on.

Mannagh a forward Mullins a back but you know that so not a straight swop but a team reshuffle. So who goes back Bowes and who subs
Mannagh.

Bowes, Duncan or Holmes go back depending on who we've got earmarked for the midfield. Mullin goes out.

Plenty of options really.
