Who knows which 1st Freo give - assuming he nominates them of course.
With performances like today, Freo doing well in finals, maybe making a prelim, maybe not, they may feel Baker is another A grade player to take them to the promised land next year. In that sitution we probably get overs

I've been made look stupid dealing in absolutes before but Freo will not hand over a top 10 pick for him. That would be the biggest overpay we've done since back in the 90s and 00s glory days.

If Freo get close without winning it and think they are only a player or so short from ultimate glory I reckon they will pay pick 10

He comes in ahead of Sturt or Emmet every day of the week and is easily worth an late teens early 20s pick imho

He is very good , not really top ten good but very good

Sturt looked good today because Melbourne were terrible
Put him in against the Pies or Sydney and they would wipe the floor with him

If you want to talk about Richmond's shitness until 2017 I am all ears. We were a complete disaster. I openly acknwoledge and critique that.

But we got it right, and history before that shows the club can succeed and build eras.

Freo after a decent period in the league though are still yet to taste a premiership. I don't want to make this a Richmond v Freo thing, but our club has been okay. Not the best, but far from the worst.

Well Richmond had solid patches of success from 1908 to 1980.

Dont worry, the dockers were a shambles from 1995-2011. We were badly run and bad luck didnt do freo favours either.

Freo had sustained finals run from 2012-15, despite no flag in that period.

Dockers went through a rbuild from 2016-21. Made finals in 2022, dropped off in 2023.

Dockers are contending for finals in 2024.

I really hope freo has another 4 year run of finals again just like 2012-5. If Liam baker wants to try and help freo get a premiership, I am keen for him to join.

My understanding is that IF Baker was to leave, West Coast is his preferred trade.

Freo fans are happy for his price to be pumped up (duelling offers from the 2 WA clubs), but the reality is that West Coast appears to be the preferred destination.

And why would fans be happy not to get Baker but their rivals do? They only have their second rounder to pony up. Posting on Bigfooty doesn’t pump up his value, nor does it give WC more draft picks to trade.

If he goes to WC he makes your rivals stronger. And he’d make your team stronger too. Which if I was supporting your side, would be the outcome I’d be cheering for.

Agree, but talks about him only just scraping into your side as a sun and him being worth a second rounder are just as absurd.

Switta just played his best game for us and was huge in moving the ball and pressuring. Baker would play a similar level game like 6+ times a year. He'd be a great pick-up for us and really clean up our forwards half.
