Possibly, but I wouldn't expect it if we're getting bulk salary. I'm talking 500k x 4 stuff.

Cap space is going to be an issue at some stage for us.

I wouldn't pay that if Chad is off the table. I'd keep pick 10.

9 & 17 is about the best we could hope for I suspect.

It won't be 9 & 26.

I personally think 9 + 10 and they pay significant salary is the best outcome. I know we'll all be devo in Novermber not having either pick, but leaving room for Chad is significantly more valuable than a draftee is likely to be.

I’d pay 9&10 if the salary part is significant, like proper significant.

I’d pay 9&10 if we received something significant back. Pick 21 or future 2nd.

I’d pay 9&10 if it was Bolton and Baker.

I’d add 26 to all of those deals if what we are getting back justifies the add on.

I’d love for us to auction off our pick 10.

I really think there will be some bidders around.

Our first stage should be to extract as much value as we can before attempting trades.

Keep pick 9.

If we can auction off 10 for a hypothetical ~15 and future 1st we just do that.
I think you could get that, but likely only during a draft night trade.

I don't care about where he is rated in the comp, I care about what he brings to us.

What are you trying to argue here? That Switta kicking at 75% for 11 goals is somehow better than Bolton kicking at 50% for 40?

And Treacy is having a better year than Amiss partly because of the accuracy, but mostly because his game is more than just goals.

Last 4 seasons he's averaged over 17 touches and kicked an average of 30+ goals a season. It's laughable to think he wouldn't come into our side and have an enormous impact from the get go. Love to know how many players in that time period have averaged as many touches and goals as Bolton has.

It will be less than 5 I suspect. Could be as little as 2 or 3. Trac and Bont probably, stuggle to think of others.

Toby Greene is another that would have been close. Point is he's a top 5/10 small forward that can also have an impact in the middle, and as you said even if he's 80th best in the AFL his role is number 1 on our upgrade chart.

Yeah we're crying out for players that can break a game open. Players that can win you games regardless of the quality of opposition.

It's why I'd be doing everything possible to get Bolton and Warner over the next 2 trade periods.

We are the most cake team in the league, we need some cream.

I don't think I've seen a year with more contracted players potentially all on a merry go round
May be a case of clubs expecting the extra year of future trading, committing to things, and now having to find a way of getting the deals done.

If even a quarter of these moves happen, it’s going to be a wild few weeks

All the clubs believing they have the best hand and by the end there's 20 aces on the table and it's all called a draw after the shuffle.

Swans currently hold 18&19

We could do 10 & 26 for 18,19 and future 2nd.

That’s not too unrealistic.

Leaves us with 9, ~17, 18, 19 our future 1st and 2x2nds

Gold Coast may be a willing trade partner again.

Either way. Someone will want pick 10 if we put it on the table. Many clubs will need to find ammo to complete deals.

I'd look at it. It depends on where Bolton is going to land but it would be nice to get some late firsts in this draft.

Compare the pair

One is Shai Bolton, playing in the bottom side, one is a player go_the_dockers would have in the top 20 players, playing in a top 4 team
